The FilMuzik Arts Festival is an opportunity for videomakers and musicians to have a memorable experience among live events in Calabria, Southern Italy. It is the first Festival in this region that offers its audience national and international works that combine Cinema and Music into one.
Dive into the Calabrian summer: one of the busiest in Italy for its splendid sea and the cultural wonders of its territory. It will be an unforgettable experience. Participate with your work in the 8th edition of the FilMuzik Arts Festival
The Festival has 5 categories and they are divided into: FilMuzik Music Video, FilMuzik Short, FilMuzik Animation, FilMuzik Doc and FilMuzik.
The Festival wants to spread events of particular artistic relevance, with the intent of involving artists of cinema and music. Therefore, cine-concerts or cineconcerts can also participate, that is, the screening of a film during the live performance of one or more musicians. This category is designed out of competition and all proposals must be sent directly to the email address filmuzik@birdproduction.it.
A jury composed of industry insiders/professionals will select a variable number of works and a maximum of 5 works nominated for the final phase of awarding prizes such as Best Videoclip, Best Short Film, Best Animation; Best Film and Best Documentary.
The authors of the selected films will be hosted for the entire duration of the Festival.
All the selected works will be screened during the days of the Festival.
The selected films, documentaries and short films, after being broadcast, may also be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video exclusively for Bird Production.
FilMuzik awards a symbolic recognition, namely a Bonsai Tree (LEGO) to the winner of each category.
An honorable mention is also awarded to an audiovisual work of civil engagement, selected by a jury of experts and students from among all the submitted works. The honorable mention is dedicated to Rocco Gatto, a victim of the 'Ndrangheta, killed in Gioiosa Ionica on March 12, 1977. The award is a work handcrafted by goldsmiths.
Any special mentions may be awarded by the Festival management.
The Festival's identifying logo may be placed on the opening/closing credits of the selected works for free use by the authors, subject to authorization and delivery of the file by the organization.
