Feminista Film Festival and Tour tells the most inspiring stories about women and girls through documentary film. Our goals are to inspire audiences and connect women and girls to female role models.

Note: The Feminista Film Festival has moved to March 2021 in celebration of International Women’s Day! A selection of films will also be chosen for the Feminista Tour, which runs year round. Last year, approximately 40 screenings were held throughout the UK during the week of International Women's Day.

We are looking for inspiring stories about women in their chosen passion or profession. Subjects may include artists, athletes, beautiful minds, change makers and beyond! Inspiring Q&A discussions are core to our festival and we encourage filmmakers to attend and take part!

We will recognise filmmakers with awards at the conclusion of the festival. Awards categories may include:

Most Inspiring Role Model - Athletes and Adventurists
Most Inspiring Role Model - Artists and Performers
Most Inspiring Role Model - Beautiful Minds
Most Inspiring Role Model - Change Makers
People’s Choice

These rules and terms cover all film submissions: feature documentaries and short documentaries.

Feminista Film Festival screened my film "I`m a Creative Animal". Very good communication before and during the Festival. My film made it to fhe final competition. Did not win, but I really regret it, that I was not able to be in London. I would have loved to watch the other films. I got the Impression, that this is a very well organized Festival with lots of "Herzblut" for films.

Feminista is a festival with a great approach, it sheds the light on women's stories in a positive way. My film "Chicks on Boards" was included, and I wish I could have joined the festival and meet Larie and all the other creative minds behind the newly founded festival. I hope Feminista will go a long way and that our ways will cross again some day.
