I started making films in 2017 having spent 30 years in the sports industry as a designer, journalist and campaigner for equality in women's sport. I now tell authentic stories of women's sport through film to inspire and encourage participation.
My first film, FOUR YEARS about the GB Short Track Speed Skating team was selected for NOTTIFF and Feminista Film Festival. I went on to produce and direct a series of five short films for outdoor retailer, Ellis Brigham. The films, called, Engage Your Senses explored 5 women's personal experiences of adventure sport.
I am learning through making, with a serious of short films focussing on finding empowerment through sport. The varied stories include a Jen, a player in the Homeless World Cup, Jo, a midlife adventurer, Sophie, a Paralympic sprinter and Anna-Marie, an ultra runner.
I have a long-term working relationship with ocean rower Lia Ditton and am currently pitching for funding for our latest collaborative film project - Halfway There.
My current project, Maverick Generation follows five masters athletes in their 50s, 60's, 70s and 80s as they train to compete in international competitions. This film is currently on hold until 2021.
