Following the resounding success of our inaugural edition, we’re thrilled to continue our mission of showcasing remarkable short films from around the world. Here’s what makes our festival stand out:

In recognition of outstanding filmmaking talent, we offer a total of three cash prizes, including a grand prize of $2,000 for the Best Film. These awards celebrate creativity and dedication, adding an element of anticipation to the festival experience.

*Open-Air Summer Cinema
Our unique venue offers a breathtaking open-air cinema experience right under the castle of Skyros, providing an idyllic setting for film screenings under the stars. Located in Skyros, a gem of Evia Island, the festival blends cinematic magic with the natural beauty of Greece.

*Live Screenings
Experience the joy of cinema as it was meant to be seen—on the big screen! Our curated program features captivating narratives, innovative visuals, and compelling stories, promising an unforgettable journey for filmmakers and audiences alike.

*Workshops for All Ages
Building on the success of last year’s Animation Workshop for Kids, this year’s festival will feature a range of workshops designed to engage and inspire. From hands-on creative sessions to learning the art of filmmaking, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The festival fosters a welcoming space for filmmakers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts to connect, collaborate, and share insights. Build lasting relationships within a vibrant and supportive film community.

Rules & Terms

Rules and Terms for Submissions

1. Eligibility:
All submitted films must be produced and completed in 2024 or later.

2. Submission Process:
- The application form, required materials, and a digital copy of the film must be submitted electronically on FilmFreeway
- Deadline for submissions: May 10th, 2025.

3. Selection and Screening:
- Once selected for competition, films may not be withdrawn from the festival program.
- A non-public secure/password-protected link of the film with subtitles in English must be provided.
- Selected films must submit:
- A high-quality video file of the film.
- An *.srt file with English subtitles.
- A high-quality, clean poster of the film.

4. Promotional Use:
By submitting your film, you agree that Euboea International Short Film Festival may use parts of your film (including trailer, teaser, and/or poster) for promotional purposes.

5. Entry Fees:
Entry fees are non-refundable, regardless of selection status.

6. Ownership and Rights:
- You confirm that you own all rights to the submitted film.
- You grant the festival permission to screen the film as part of its program.

7. Final Submission Agreement:
- By submitting your film, you affirm that it was produced in 2024 or later.
- Once the official selection announcement is made, you cannot withdraw your submission from the festival.

    You can feel how invested the team behind its organization is, and how preoccupied they are in making Euboea ISFF into a fond and lasting experience.
