Cash Prize for the Winner: In recognition of outstanding filmmaking talent, Euboea International Short Film Festival awards a generous cash prize of 2000 dollars to the winner of the festival and two more cash prizes. The competitive spirit adds an element of suspense and anticipation, encouraging filmmakers to showcase their best work and pushing the boundaries of creativity.

Open Summer Cinema Venue: Our festival takes place in a unique open-air cinema venue right by the seaside, in Chalkida, Greece, just an hour away from Athens.

Live Screenings: Experience the magic of cinema on the big screen with live screenings of carefully curated short films. From compelling narratives to innovative visual storytelling, each film promises to captivate and inspire. The communal atmosphere of the open-air venue adds an extra layer of excitement to the shared cinematic journey.

Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts. Share insights, discuss techniques, and forge new collaborations in an informal and friendly environment. All the submitted films, must be produced and completed in 2023 and after.

The application form, the material and a digital copy of the film shall be submitted by June 10th, 2024 electronically on www.filmfreeway.com .

Any film selected for the competition may not be removed from the selection.

A non-public secure/password-protected link of the film shall be submitted with subtitles in English.

By submitting your film, you agree that:
1. Euboea International Shorts Film Festival can use parts of your film (including trailer/teaser/film poster) for promotional purpose.
2. The film you submit, is produced and completed in 2023 or later.
3. Entry fees are non-refundable.
4. You own all the rights to the film.
5. You cannot withdraw your submission after the official selection announcement of each round.

We had the privilege to compete in the first edition of this great festival, and from our experience, it is certain that the Euboea ISFF will only continue to grow in relevance and status with every new edition that takes place. From the moment we received the news of our official Selection, and all the way past the end of the Festival itself, their team made sure we felt their appreciation to our work, and the warmth of a community of peers that are willing to meet your work with generous and welcoming eyes.
You can feel how invested the team behind its organization is, and how preoccupied they are in making Euboea ISFF into a fond and lasting experience.
It is clear for us they were as proud to have us in their selection as we were to be a part of it. They have a first hand understanding of what we do, but most importantly, they know and understand exactly why we do it.
It's very precious to have our short film fly across the ocean to find the eyes and appreciation of a team and jury like the one you find at the Euboea International Short Film Festival.
