ENIMATION festival is an international festival of films made by children and youth. There are three categories, depending on the age of the authors:
MINI (authors up to 10 years),
MIDI (authors between 11 and 14 years), and
MAXI (authors between 15 and 19 years).
Authors under 20 years old can apply also with the films made on topic Human Rights.
Authors who were by the time of completing their film aged 20 or older will be disqualified.
You can apply in several categories if you meet the conditions. If more than one author participated, select the age group of most authors.
Slovenian authors/producers can submit their films to both international and Slovenian competition programs.
The preselection jury selects 10 films for each category from all the entered films presented in the competition program. A three-piece expert jury selects a winning film in every category; another best film from all categories is chosen. All submitted films will be presented to viewers on our Facebook profile one week after the festival.
Slovenian films that will not be accepted into the competition program will be featured in the Fresh Filmmakers program.
Thus ENIMATION festival enables children and youth to present their work on the internet and in the cinema. Additionally, this program allows for exchanging of ideas, knowledge, and opinions at the international level.
1 winning film in every category and 1 best film from all categories is chosen.
The winning films from both international and Slovenian selection will be nominated for the Youth Cinema award given by the Youth Cinema Network. In addition, the author of the festival's winning film also receives a prize of 150 EUR, donated by the Sonda Foundation.
