ENIMATION festival is an international festival of films made by children and youth. There are three categories, depending on the age of the authors:
MINI (authors up to 10 years),
MIDI (authors between 11 and 14 years), and
MAXI (authors between 15 and 19 years).
This year you can apply also with the film on topic Diversity/Tolerance.
Authors who were by the time of completing their film aged 20 or older will be disqualified.
You can apply in several categories if you meet the conditions. If more than one author participated, select the age group of most authors.
Slovenian authors/producers can submit their films to both international and Slovenian competition programs.
The preselection jury selects 10 films for each category from all the entered films presented in the competition program. A three-piece expert jury selects a winning film in every category; another best film from all categories is chosen. All submitted films will be presented to viewers on-demand in our BlackBox room. Slovenian films that will not be accepted into the competition program will be featured in the Fresh Filmmakers program.
Thus ENIMATION festival enables children and youth to present their work on the internet and in the cinema. Additionally, this program allows for exchanging of ideas, knowledge, and opinions at the international level.
1 winning film in every category and 1 best film from all categories is chosen.
The winning films from both international and Slovenian selection will be nominated for the Youth Cinema award given by the Youth Cinema Network. In addition, the author of the festival's winning film also receives a prize of 150 EUR, donated by the Sonda Foundation.

9. Publishing, promotion, and archiving of the films
The festival calls upon authors, producers, and film distributors to send additional promotional material that will be made accessible for press, guests, and audiences during the festival. In addition, the chosen films can be included in special presentations after the festival or (with the authors' permission) published at the ENIMATION Festival TV portal and local TV, and other events for festival promotion.
Taking part in the festival means that you agree with the regulations described above. Matters not defined by the rules described above fall into the jurisdiction of the organizers of the festival. In case of dispute, the Slovenian version of the regulations applies.
