In November 2025 the festival opened its doors to filmmakers worldwide. Now we're back for our second year! It invites the local community as well as a diverse and vibrant audience from all over the world to come join us and celebrate independent film, including filmmakers, students, industry professionals, and a broad spectrum of the public. Every screening is followed by engaging Q&A sessions with the filmmakers.

The festival aims to give a platform to independent filmmakers and the stories they want to tell. It identifies and cultivates new and evolving voices, celebrating short films and the filmmakers who produce them. Through our screenings, industry talks, masterclasses and networking sessions we aim to break open the door to a creative industry that can be difficult to access and navigate in a friendly, welcoming setting. We also encourage filmmakers (both new and experienced) to network with each other and of course, have a great time!

Filmmakers from all over the world can submit any kind of genre from drama to sci-fi to comedy! As the festival is in Isle Of Dogs, London there will also be one special screening dedicated to London Filmmakers, so if you're from London please do let us know in your cover letter.

Most of all we want all independent filmmakers to feel welcome and celebrated on the Island. We look forward to receiving your submissions!

I loved attending the E14 Indie Film Festival. A lovely group of people. The location is cool and the acoustics are incredible, being inside a church. Great chats with fellow filmmakers and quality food at the local restaurant.

Honoured to have our documentary 'Karate Dreams' among the nominees.

    I'd submit and attend again.

  • The festival was organised really well by Louise and Marcus. It was in the lovely Christ Church and although a small crowd, a really intimate setting and created some lovely networking opportunities. I loved the energy Louise and Marcus brought and the positivity at the festival! Would love to come back next year!
