Actress Dawna Lee Heising has acted in over 60 feature films, alongside legendary actors such as Eddie Griffin, Tommy Wiseau, Aki Aleong, Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts, Nicolas Turturro, Lorenzo Lamas, Olivia Hussey, Coolio, Mel Novak, Robert Amico, Justin Shenkarow, Michael Madsen and many others. She is also the Vice President of her mentor Aki Aleong's Mustard Seed Media Group.
Dawna won Best Shakespearean Actress for "Dark Classics" at the 2019 LANFA Film Festival; Best Actress for her role as Barbie in Dustin Ferguson's "Nemesis 5: The New Model" at the 2018 LANFA Film Festival; "Actress of the Year" at the 2018 USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame Awards, and Best Supporting Actress for Gregory Blair's "Garden Party Massacre" at the 2018 Lucky Strike Film Festival. Dawna has also been honored with eight Best Ensemble Acting awards for Gregory Blair's "Garden Party Massacre".
Dawna is trained in Tang Soo Do martial arts, martial arts weaponry, kickboxing, ballet and pole dancing. She is a former Miss Los Angeles Chinatown, Ms. World, Ms. Universe, Miss San Francisco Universe, Miss Orange County Universe, Miss California Hemisphere and Mrs. California United States, among many other titles. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Management and MBA from Pepperdine University, and her uncle is legendary director Tak Fujimoto. Dawna is also the executive producer and host of an award-winning television interview show called “Eye on Entertainment”.
Dawna is excited to have played Skye in John Reign's heartwarming war film "Finding Purpose". The film stars Reign and Tom Stoops, and director Reign expanded her role as his ex-girlfriend as the shoot went on. "Finding Purpose" ended up being Dawna's first love story! She just finished reprising her role of Skye in the big budget sequel "Finding Purpose: The Road to Redemption". In the extraordinary sequel, Dawna is now married to Reign’s character John Kayhill, and the legendary actor Aki Aleong portrays her father. Reign is represented by Ron Paul Associates, and both “Finding Purpose” films are slated to be released to theatres nationwide. Dawna also performed the challenging Lady Macbeth Scene 5, Act I monologue in Brian Barsuglia's documentary "A Bard for the Ages: Shakespeare's Timeless Effect".
Dawna was recently honored to work with the great Eddie Griffin, alongside Robert Amico and Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Justin Shenkarow, in Param Gill's "Bad President". Griffin played Lucifer, and Dawna played his minion Misery, Amico played Shame and Shenkarow played Anger. The big budget film is slated to be released to theatres nationwide next spring, just in time for the 2020 Election.
She is cast as villainess Haden Webb in Kevin C. Kellum’s nationally broadcast "Vice Squad Los Angeles" television series from Ascendent Studios. Academy award-winner Chris Tashima is a part of the "Vice Squad" franchise on the production end so the series is sure to be outstanding. Dawna has been cast in the pivotal role of the mysterious Lavender in a'Ali De Sousa's movie and miniseries "The Bench", alongside noted character actor Jeff Doucette. She is also cast in action star JJ Stomp's "The Bodyguard" and "In3Dragon".
