In 2009 we formed Dark Bridges Film Festival (DBFF), and in 2014 DBFF changed its name to Saskatoon Fantastic Film Festival (SFFF) to reflect the wide range of genre films, but our love of good horror films has never stopped. We have screened the best horror films available each you through SFFF and have been running a some special DBFF events highlighting horror films.

In 2025 the 3 day festival will run June 6th through 8th highlighting the best horror films from the festival circuit.

Our feature film line is a curated program developed by the programming team. We only accept short film submissions. Time permitting each feature film is paired with a short horror film and if there is a strong enough selection of short films the festival will include a dedicated block of short films.

The festival runs an informal audience award

Feature Film Audience Award (curated films)
Short Film Audience Award (submitted and curated films)
