Al postularse para la inscripción del Festival de Cine Corrosivo, se da a entender que ha leído y aceptado el presente reglamento para que su audiovisual, ya sea largometraje, cortometraje, videoclip, documental o cualquier proyecto experimental pueda ser mostrado durante las fechas del festival en las diversas sedes que el festival toma en cuenta para hacer las exhibiciones
El festival se llevará a cabo entre las fechas del 21 al 30 de agosto del año 2025
Programación y secciones
El Corrosivo Film Festival incluye las siguientes secciones en su programación:

-Premio del Público: Largometraje

Condiciones generales:
Requisitos:
· Haber enviado el proyecto y el formulario antes del 02 de Mayo del 2025.
. Los proyectos aceptados son: largometrajes de ficción, largometrajes de documental, largometrajes experimentales, cortometrajes de ficción, cortometrajes de documental, cortometrajes experimentales, videoclips y demás propuestas que se relacionen con cualquier narrativa del género y sus subgéneros.
. De igual manera puede ser en live action, animación, stop motion, o cualquier otra técnica que aporte a la narrativa. Aceptamos, promovemos y disfrutamos toda propuesta creativa
A partir de este punto, nos referiremos como “proyecto” a cualquier audiovisual que calce en los anteriormente mencionados
· El proyecto debe ser enviado a través de la respectiva plataforma, si tiene Password debe indicar la respectiva clave para su visionado.
El envío de cualquier proyecto no implica que ha sido aceptado para ser parte del festival
· Para ser parte de la selección oficial, deben ser proyectos estrenados a partir del año 2021 y hasta el año en curso. Cualquier película y cortometraje anterior a este año podría ser aceptada fuera de concurso
· Para participar en la categoría de Mejor Largometraje, la película no debe haber sido estrenada antes en salas comerciales a nivel nacional, y debe ser estreno en territorio costarricense.
Si la película ya ha sido estrenada, puede ser parte del festival igualmente pero no podrá participar por el premio del festival.
· Las películas y cortometrajes a enviar deben ser de la categoría de terror, horror y/o fantasía, en cualquiera de sus respectivos subgéneros que hagan notar que la intención es aprovechar los elementos del terror, horror, ciencia ficción, fantasía y demás del espectro, en cualquier género.
· Las películas pueden venir en cualquier idioma, siempre y cuando se provean los subtítulos, preferiblemente en español o si no hay en inglés. La producción del festival podría ver si asume los costos de la traducción o lo puede conversar con el responsable de la distribución del proyecto.
Normativa de las categorías:
I. Cortometraje:
Los cortometrajes tendrán una duración MÁXIMA de hasta 30 minutos, deberán haber sido grabados a partir del 2021.
· Los cortometrajes deben tener elementos del género de terror, horror, fantasía, ciencia ficción o algún subgénero o temática que incorpore elementos de los anteriores dichos.
· Puede ser cortometraje de ficción, documental, animado u experimental
II. Largometraje
· Los Largometrajes tendrán una duración de Mínimo 60 minutos, y deberán haber sido estrenadas ya sea en el 2021.
· Los largometrajes deben ser del género de terror, horror, fantasía, ciencia ficción o algún subgénero o temática que incorpore elementos de los anteriores dichos.
· Los Largometrajes pueden ser de ficción, documental, animado u experimental.
III. Videoclip
Al ser la música parte integral de la cultura cinematográfica, abriremos la sección de videoclips, de cualquier género musical, siempre y cuando incorpore elementos de terror, horror, fantasía, magia, o elementos sobrenaturales. No hay restricción a género musical.
Anuncio de la elección y programación:
La organización del Corrosivo Film Fest dará a conocer los resultados de manera oficial mediante un comunicado directo a quienes su obra sea elegida, para luego dar a conocer al público las obras seleccionadas con la info y el catálogo del festival.
Costo de inscripción:
El monto de la inscripción es el estipulado en la página de convocatoria, siendo un cobro único. Recordar que de no tener subtítulos en español se podría cobrar un monto en caso de que la organización del festival tenga que asumir la traducción, creación y ajuste de los mismos para la proyección.
En caso de querer enviar un DCP:
Los costos de envío del DCP final para la exhibición (en caso de enviarlo) correrán a cargo de la productora/distribuidora del film, comprometiéndose a que estos lleguen a tiempo.
Al llenar el formulario y si quedan elegidos la productora/ distribuidora del Film se compromete a enviar un KIT de PRENSA con toda la información necesaria para una correcta y apropiada divulgación del audiovisual. Siendo requerido lo que se pida en el comunicado de aceptación a enviar o lo que pida la página de la convocatoria.
Cada participante es responsable del contenido de su trabajo y de cualquier posible problema de derechos de autor. El participante posee todos los derechos relativos al uso de su trabajo de acuerdo con la normativa. El Comité del Festival no tiene responsabilidad frente a terceros. El Comité del Festival tiene derecho a rechazar películas, si el contenido o la calidad técnica no corresponde a las condiciones del Festival

By applying for registration for the Corrosivo Film Festival, it is understood that you have read and accepted the following regulations, so that your audiovisual work—whether a feature film, short film, music video, documentary, or any experimental project—can be shown during the festival dates at the various venues considered by the festival for screenings.
The festival will take place from August 21 to 30, 2025.
Programming and Sections

General Conditions
Requirements:
• The project and the application form must be submitted by May 2, 2025.
• Accepted projects include: feature films (fiction, documentary, experimental), short films (fiction, documentary, experimental), music videos, and any other proposals related to the genre and its subgenres.
• Likewise, it can be live-action, animation, stop-motion, or any other technique that contributes to the narrative. We accept, promote, and enjoy all creative proposals.
From this point on, we will refer to any audiovisual that fits the categories mentioned above as "project."
• The project must be submitted through the respective platform. If it has a password, the correct key for viewing must be provided.
Submitting a project does not imply it has been accepted as part of the festival.
• To be part of the official selection, projects must have been released from 2021 onward, up to the current year. Any film or short film prior to this year could be accepted out of competition.
• The films and short films to be submitted must belong to the genres of horror, terror, and/or fantasy, in any of their respective subgenres, clearly showing that the intention is to utilize the elements of horror, terror, science fiction, fantasy, and others from the spectrum, in any genre.
• The films may be in any language, as long as subtitles are provided, preferably in Spanish or, if not available, in English. The festival production may consider covering the translation costs or discuss this with the project’s distribution responsible party.
Regulations for the Categories:
I. Short Film:
• Short films will have a MAXIMUM duration of 30 minutes and must have been filmed from 2021 onward.
• Short films must contain elements of the horror, terror, fantasy, science fiction genres, or any subgenre or theme incorporating these elements.
• They may be fiction, documentary, animated, or experimental short films.
II. Feature Film:
• Feature films will have a MINIMUM duration of 60 minutes and must have been released in 2021 or later.
• Feature films must belong to the horror, terror, fantasy, science fiction genres, or any subgenre or theme incorporating these elements.
• Feature films may be fiction, documentary, animated, or experimental.
III. Music Video: Since music is an integral part of cinematic culture, we are opening a music video section for any musical genre, as long as it incorporates elements of horror, terror, fantasy, magic, or supernatural elements. There are no restrictions on the musical genre.
Announcement of Selection and Programming:
The Corrosivo Film Fest organization will announce the results officially through a direct communication to those whose work has been selected, followed by the public release of the selected works along with the festival information and catalog.
Registration Fee:
The registration fee is the amount specified on the call for entries page, and it is a one-time charge. Please note that if subtitles are not provided in Spanish, an additional fee may be charged in case the festival organization needs to cover the translation, creation, and adjustment of the subtitles for the screening.
If submitting a DCP:
The costs of sending the final DCP for exhibition (if submitted) will be borne by the film’s production/distribution company, who will be responsible for ensuring it arrives on time.
By filling out the form, and if chosen, the production/distribution company of the film commits to sending a PRESS KIT with all the necessary information for proper and accurate dissemination of the audiovisual work. This will include everything requested in the acceptance communication or as required by the submission page.
Each participant is responsible for the content of their work and any potential copyright issues. The participant holds all rights related to the use of their work according to the regulations. The Festival Committee is not liable to third parties. The Festival Committee has the right to reject films if the content or technical quality does not meet the festival's standards.
