After the first years, its mission has had an important evolution becoming an important event dedicated to independent and alternative cinema: over 7,000 selected films, over 400 shorts shown, over 12,000 people have passed through COFFI.

The categories in competition are five, concerning different sections:

-Short films (for the section “Nuovi Percorsi”) realized by independent authors with low budgets.
-Short films (for the section “Spazio Scuola”) dedicated to middle and high school students.
