Giuseppe Arcieri was born in Foggia on 09/27/1997, residing in Barletta,
passionate about cinema, graduated in 2022 from the faculty of "new technologies of art" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia. Lover of Italian cinema, in particular neorealist cinema and that of Sergio Leone, about whom Giuseppe writes the monograph "C'era una Volta Sergio Leone" distributed by Amazon.
During the three-year period he made several short films that were awarded worldwide.
For two years he competed at the David di Donatello in the "short film" category.
His latest work Medea" is a contemporary reinterpretation of the
Greek tragedy starring, the newly disabled actress, Vincenza Dinoia.
The student project was produced and supported by
the Academy of Fine Arts of Foggia and the Apulia
Region.
Medea, written by Giuseppe Dibenedetto, with Arcieri and Maria Grazia Memeo as co-writers, has inclusivity as its main letter key. Filming took place in the ruins of Canne della Battaglia and at the salt pans of Margherita di Savoia Giuseppe continues his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia. He is currently enrolled in the
first year of the two-year "Cinema,New Media Art"
course. Now he work in team of WeShort (Short movies platform)
For the past two years Giuseppe has been thefounder and artistic director of the South Italy International Film Festival. During the second edition held in May 2023 in Barletta Castle, jury president Luca Verdone presented the jury prize dedicated to
director Nico Cirasola.
