Located on the beautiful grounds of WInona State University, surrounded by rocky limestone bluffs, the 3rd annual Cloven Hoof Film Fest features the works of local students and community members in this charming River Valley city. Winona, Minnesota is best known for it's convenient location on the Mississippi River and its rich arts and cultural programming. The Cloven Hoof Film Fest is open to submissions of all genres, short, and feature length films from all ages of filmmakers.

Awards & Prizes

If chosen, your film will run in front of a live audience on the big screen! There will be awards for Best of Fest, People's Choice, Best Student Film and Best Local Film.

Rules & Terms

- Films from all filmmakers are eligible, but selection preference will be given to Midwest students and filmmakers.
- All films must be submitted online
- Filmmakers can submit more then one project
- Waver codes and discounts are available in some situations. Please e-mail us to discuss.
- Because we try to work with students that may be working on projects this semester, we do allow filmmakers to submit works in progress, if you have a work in progress that you wish to submit, please reach out via email detailing the timeline of your project and if your project will be in final form by our screening dates.
