Casalvieri Film Festival 2025 Regulations
Art.1 (What)
The Casalvieri Film Festival is a short film festival open to everyone and divided into two categories:
INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM: Maximum duration of 20 minutes (including credits).
SMARTPHONE: Maximum duration of 10 minutes (including credits).
Art.2 (When and Where)
The final screening and award ceremony will take place in Casalvieri (Fr) from June 27 to June 29, 2025.
Art.3 (How)
a. The association GENERAZIONE 128, organizer of the Festival, will, at its sole discretion, select 12 works for each category from the submissions. These works will participate in the "screening and awards final."
b. During the three-day final, according to the schedule outlined below, a special Jury (composed of five members: two representatives of the association, the Mayor of Casalvieri or their representative, and two representatives from the film industry) will select the winners and special mentions for the current edition.
Art.4 (Participation Guidelines)
a. Authors may participate with only one work per category, without genre limitations (fiction, documentaries, animation, music videos, experimental cinema, etc.).
b. The works must have been produced within the two years prior to the opening of submissions.
c. Works can be submitted starting from January 7, 2025, in a minimum format of 1080p with H264 or H265 codec.
d. Videos and all related materials must be submitted via the official FilmFreeway platform.
e. The submission deadline is May 10, 2025; the announcement of selected works will be made by June 10, 2025.
f. Submitted works must be accompanied by the documentation required by FilmFreeway and, in any case, by the following materials:

Short biography and photo of the author
Type/model of smartphone or action camera used (only for the smartphone category).

Art.6 (Rights, Responsibilities, and Other Information)
a. Authors retain ownership of the rights and bear sole responsibility, in any capacity, for their works (images, dialogues, soundtracks, etc.). These works must not contain images that violate current laws. For this reason, the association GENERAZIONE 128, organizer of the Festival, reserves the right to add content warnings to screened works (e.g., nudity, blood, etc.).
b. Members of the association GENERAZIONE 128, organizer of the Festival, may not in any way or under any circumstance be involved in the production of the submitted short films.
c. The festival reserves the right not to assign mentions if there are no works deemed deserving of recognition in a particular category.
d. Submitting an entry implies full acceptance of this regulation and the Festival's decisions.
e. Short films must be original works owned by the author and must not have been presented in previous editions. However, works presented in other festivals or competitions are allowed.
f. The association GENERAZIONE 128, organizer of the Festival, may promote the works submitted to the competition in schools, cinemas, festivals, and anywhere they may hold cultural value. It is not responsible for protecting the rights related to the submitted works.
g. All works, or parts thereof, in foreign languages or dialects must be subtitled in Italian or English.
h. The soundtrack must be original or compliant with any applicable recordings and SIAE rights. The organization declines all responsibility for the use of any material covered by copyright.
i. By participating in the competition, the author authorizes the processing of personal data contained in the works and accompanying materials.
j. Please read the regulations carefully; in cases of exclusion or ineligibility for any reason, the entry fee will not be refunded.
k. The organization reserves the right to amend the rules and will promptly communicate any changes.

Regolamento Casalvieri Film Festival 2025
Art.1 (Cosa)
Il Casalvieri Film Festival è un festival di cortometraggi aperto a tutti e suddiviso in due categorie:
CORTO INTERNAZIONALE: massimo 20 minuti (titoli inclusi).
SMARTPHONE: massimo 10 minuti (titoli inclusi).
Art.2 (Quando e dove)
La finale di proiezione e premiazione si terrà a Casalvieri (FR) dal 27 al 29 giugno 2025.
Art.3 (Come)
a. L’associazione GENERAZIONE 128, organizzatrice del Festival, selezionerà, a proprio insindacabile giudizio, un massimo di 12 opere per ciascuna categoria, che parteciperanno alla fase finale.
b. Durante le tre giornate della finale, una Giuria composta da cinque membri (due rappresentanti dell’associazione, il Sindaco di Casalvieri o un suo rappresentante, e due figure rappresentative del mondo cinematografico) selezionerà i vincitori e le menzioni speciali.
Art.4 (Modalità di partecipazione)
a. Gli autori possono partecipare con una sola opera per categoria, senza limite di genere
(finzione, documentari, animazione, videoclip musicali, cinema sperimentale, ecc.).
b. Le opere dovranno essere state realizzate nei due anni precedenti l’avvio delle iscrizioni;
c. Le opere potranno essere inviate, a partire dal 7 gennaio 2025, in formato minimo 1080p codec H264 oppure H265;
d. L’invio del video e di tutto il materiale dovrà avvenire utilizzando il canale ufficiale Filmfreeway;
e. il termine di presentazione è il 10 maggio 2025 ; la comunicazione delle opere selezionate avverrà entro il 10 giugno 2025;
f. le opere inviate dovranno essere corredate dalla documentazione richiesta da
Filmfreeway e, comunque, dal seguente materiale:

Art.6 (Diritti, responsabilità, altro)
a. Gli autori rimangono proprietari dei diritti ed esclusivi responsabili, a qualsiasi titolo, delle loro opere (immagini, dialoghi, colonne sonore, ecc.). Tali opere non devono contenere immagini che violino le leggi vigenti. Per tali motivi l’associazione GENERAZIONE 128, organizzatrice del Festival, si riserva il diritto di aggiungere alle opere proiettate eventuali avvisi sui contenuti (es. nudità, sangue, ecc…);
b.I componenti dell’associazione GENERAZIONE 128, organizzatrice del Festival, non
possono in alcun modo e con alcun titolo essere coinvolti nella realizzazione dei cortometraggi iscritti;
c. Il festival si riserva di non assegnare menzioni qualora non ci siano opere meritevoli di riconoscimento in una certa categoria;
d. l’iscrizione implica l’accettazione integrale del presente regolamento e delle decisioni del Festival;
e. I cortometraggi devono essere opere originali e di proprietà dell'autore e non devono essere stati mai presentati in edizioni precedenti. Sono invece ammesse opere presentate
in altri festival o concorsi;
f. l’associazione GENERAZIONE 128, organizzatrice del Festival, potrà promuovere le opere pervenute al concorso, nelle scuole, sale cinematografiche, festival e ovunque possano avere valore culturale. Essa non è assolutamente responsabile per la tutela dei diritti relativi all'opera presentata;
g. tutte le opere, o loro parti, in lingua straniera e dialetto dovranno essere sottotitolate in italiano o in inglese;
h. la colonna sonora dovrà essere originale o in regola con eventuali registrazioni e diritti SIAE. L’organizzazione declina ogni responsabilità per l’utilizzo di qualsiasi materiale coperto da diritto d’autore;
i. con la partecipazione al concorso, l’autore autorizza il trattamento dei dati personali contenuti nelle opere e nel materiale allegato;
j. leggere attentamente il regolamento, sia nel caso di esclusione che di inammissibilità a qualsiasi titolo delle opere NON sarà possibile rimborsare il costo dell'iscrizione;
k. l'organizzazione si riserva il diritto di modificare le regole e di comunicarne tempestivamente l’avvenuta variazione.
