  • Kagan Goh honoured to be awarded the Burns Bog award for Best Local Filmmaker at the DLAS COMPOSED Short Film Festival. Angela Rebrec the founder of Delta Literary Arts Society created this new film festival and for its first year the running went smoothly without a hitch. Angela and the volunteers were warm and friendly and made every filmmaker and audience member feel special and appreciated. The programmers and organizers of this new film festival were organized, profession and friendly adding a personal touch. There was a red carpet for snapping photos of the filmmakers in attendance and we struck poses for the imaginary paparazzi. The selection of films from Canada, North America and all over the world was well curated and the award winning films were well chosen and deserving of the recognition and kudos. The award-winning filmmakers received a framed painting print as well as a generous monetary prize of $100. I highly recommend filmmakers to submit their short films to COMPOSED Short Film Festival in future years.
