The CEVMA Jewel awards are the oldest continously running European Christian Film Awards and seek to encourage Christians in visual media to produce powerful, inspiring, and transforming stories in features, documentaries, animations, short clips, etc. CEVMA's Jewel Awards recognizes achievement, excellence in production and content and the sharing of Christian values..

CEVMA Jewel Awards celebrate the power of storytelling and meeting people in their own culture. Creatives are encouraged to use visual media to spread messages of hope and forgiveness, to network with others, and find distribution opportunities for their productions.

Any Christian producer(s) in visual media are allowed to submit in one or more categories.. The 2026 CEVMA Jewel Awards will welcome any film, documentary, animation, clip, etc., that has been produced after 1 September, 2025 and which follows all applicable rules.

Awards & Prizes

Winners in each category will receive a Jewel trophy, and finalists will receive a certificate. All can get the laurels to display which will be delivered digitally.

Physical awards must be obtained at the Awards ceremony, or will be delivered by post once the delivery cost is covered..

Rules & Terms

Projects must be from a Christian world view and will be submitted to a panel of professionals chosen by the CEVMA Board.. All films require English subtitles or voiceovers (if not in English) and should be provided in the submitted screener. The same applies for trailers which are also required. The panel decides the finalists in each category, and their decisions are final. If not enough qualified entries are submitted, by at least two different submitters, in a particular category, the jury reserves the right to remove the category from the competition. Physical Laurels and trophies will be presented only to those who attend the event in person. with a paid registration by the regular registration deadline. Those unable to attend may receive digital laurels and trophies if shipping is paid. Submitters are responsible to insure that if screeners require a password it is supplied at submission time. Full length films, trailers, and high resolution graphic(s) including poster, are required to be sent as well allowing for downloads for the awards presentation of both trailers and full film.

The organisers will take every reasonable precaution in handling the entries.
Participation in the Festival is deemed to relieve the organisers of all liability regarding claims by third parties.

Competition entrants agree to provide any neccesary passwords for screeners, allow usage of clips from their entries for promotional use on CEVMA websites and CEVMA social media accounts. Fees for the awards are non-refundable.

    CEVMA is so special and dear to me, as I have just experienced it a third year in a row. Due to the fact that this is not a mass event, but an event where about 50 people come together to worship (yes indeed), to share, network and learn, makes this so special. The board is open to remarks and we can feel ourselves home with them. They're true friends; we called them our Cevma Family. The Jewel Awards are an appreciation of the exceptional work that has been done by CEVMA's members. Even just participating in this Award festival feels great, since we sincerely cheer with the winners, but sure also with everyone that does fantastic work. I feel truly appreciated at CEVMA, even while being a very small video production house. I'm looking forward to next year. If you are involved into Christian media, film, music, podcasts, ..., you belong with us. Visit CEVMA next year, always in the beginning of September.
