The Jewel Awards exist to encourage Christians in visual media to produce powerful, inspiring, and transforming stories in features, documentaries, animations, short clips, etc. CEVMA's Jewel Awards recognizes achievement, excellence in production and content and the sharing of Christian values..

The CEVMA Jewel Awards celebrate the power of storytelling and meeting people in their own culture,. Creatives are encouraged to use visual media to spread messages of hope and forgiveness, to network with others, and find distribution opportunities for their productions.

The CEVMA Jewel Awards welcome any Christian producer(s) in visual media to compete in one or more categories.. The 2025 CEVMA Jewel Awards will welcome any film, documentary, animation, clip, etc., that has been produced after 1 September, 2024 and which follows all applicable rules.

Projects must be from a Christian world view and will be submitted to a panel of professionals chosen by the CEVMA Board.. All films require English subtitles (if not in English) and should be provided in the screener.The same applies for ttailers. The panel decides the finalists in each category, and their decisions are final. If not enough qualified entries are submitted, by at least two different submitters, in a particular category, the jury reserves the right to remove the category from the competition. Physical Laurels will be presented only to those who attend the event in person. with a paid registration by the regular registration deadline. Those unable to attend may receive digital laurels. Submitters are responsible to insure that if screeners require a password it is supplied at submission time. Full length films, trailers, and high resolution graphic(s) including poster, are required to be sent as well allowing for downloads for the awards presentation.

The organisers will take every reasonable precaution in handling the entries.
Participation in the Festival is deemed to relieve the organisers of all liability regarding claims by third parties.

Competition entrants agree to provide any neccesary passwords for screeners, allow usage of clips from their entries for promotional use on CEVMA websites and CEVMA social media accounts. Fees for the awards are non-refundable.
