Our First Official Year!

The Blue Eye Screenplay Competition is dedicated to aspiring screenwriters who can create amazing short scripts. We know writing is the foundation for any successful film and we are seeking writers who can tell a story in a short period of time and express their vision effectively.

About Blue Eye Productions
Blue Productions has been around since 2017 creating short films. Our latest venture was at 2023's NYC Comic Con, where we put on a live comic book read of the adapted comic book Designated by Mark Torres. The comic was adapted to a short screenplay.

The Best Short Script Winner at the Blue Eye Screenplay Competition receives $150 and a recorded zoom reading with actors. This allows you to get the real-world feel for your screenplay.

A podcast Interview on It Came From the Radio will also be awarded to the Best Short Script Winner.

E-certificates are provided for all awards.

Rules & Terms

Submissions are to be 15 pages or less.

ALL Scripts must be submitted in ENGLISH.

Screenplays adapted from other sources that were written by other authors (such as but not limited to books or plays) are not eligible to compete.

A writer may enter more than one screenplay; however, a separate entry form and fee are required for each script submitted.
