The Blue Eye Screenplay Competition is dedicated to aspiring screenwriters who can create amazing short scripts. We know writing is the foundation for any successful film and we are seeking writers who can tell a story in a short period of time and express their vision effectively.

About Blue Eye Productions
Blue Productions has been around since 2017, creating short films. Our latest venture was at 2023's NYC Comic Con, where we put on a live comic book reading of the adapted comic book Designated by Mark Torres. The comic was adapted to a short screenplay.

Rules & Terms

Submissions are to be 15 pages or less.

ALL Scripts must be submitted in ENGLISH.

Screenplays adapted from other sources that were written by other authors (such as but not limited to, books or plays) are not eligible to compete.

A writer may enter more than one screenplay; however, a separate entry form and fee are required for each script submitted.

Comic Book Script Contest Submission Guidelines

Submissions must be comic book scripts of 24 pages or less. Scripts may include artwork (finished or draft). Previously published works are allowed, provided the entrant holds the rights to submit.

    This has been by far the best festival I have entered! After my script had won, they did a table read and it made me cry. Everyone was very good! The professionalism was great. Very friendly and supportive. Thank you so much Blue Eye. I can't wait to direct my script.
