Salut Festival Director Txema Agiriano and Contact Dude Josu Lafont, as well as your festival team
You guys are the real deal! One submission category; no entry fees, no marketing or business b*******, and no movie stars, just the love and appreciation of experimental films as a means of provoking thought and dialogue. How very refreshing!

There is an old Godard quote that goes "Television makes us forget, Cinema makes us remember." Although he does not specify what exactly we are forgetting and or remembering, I suspect he was referring to our humanity, as well as that which connects us to this planet, and each other. It was an honor and privilege to have our short film Dream Song - Tao Of Bobo, an Official Selection by your festival team. Unfortunately we could not attend, but based on your stated goals and your lovely catalogue, we are grateful to have been included in your festival. Thank you again! Much appreciated!

Given all of the turmoil and conflict and heartbreak happening in the world right now, we desperately need festivals like this one, that transcend geographical boundaries and cultures through the the love and celebration of this wonderful art form we call filmmaking.

Bravo to Festival Director and your staff as well. You are bright shinning lights in what too often feels like an ever darkening and dangerous world. Thank you for your recognition and your friendship! Much appreciated!

In 2019, 2 of our films were selected at this festival. I've responded to the selection confirmation that went unanswered, followed by many more emails. Until this day I don't know how they showed the films or if they were ever screened. This year we've submitted 4 films. It had slipped my mind we had submitted to that same festival. Same thing happened, 2 selections, a myriad of unanswered emails. I learn today that the festival took actually place even before we got a selection confirmation and one of the films won a 200 euros award. No one contacted us. Also FilmFreeway stipulates that the fetsival takes place in October... In 7 years of distribution, I have never seen anything like it, so little professionalism and consideration. They took our submission fees, and not one email, thieves.

  • I was honored to have my collaboration with Adam Mańkowski included in the festival program. The number and range of films is quite impressive and I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it to Spain for the screenings.
