Anthony Carr is a visual artist whose process-based practice includes photography, sculpture and more recently the moving image. Carr's approach is rooted in experimentation and he's particularly interested in the intersection of art and science.
Anthony Carr has exhibited his artwork throughout the UK, and internationally in countries across four continents, including in numerous photography festivals. In 2020 his first timelapse short was shown in the exhibition 'On Ancient Earth' at The Earth Sanctuary in Central Australia as part of The Desert Festival. In 2021 Carr was awarded the inaugural Glover Rayner Prize (UK) for sustainable photography and a Greenlight film production grant from MediaNet (Canada). His artwork was published in the spring FOOD 2023 issue of PhotoEd magazine (Canada) and issue 2 (2022) of Kalamari Klub's maybe. magazine (Germany) amongst others. Carr was also shortlisted in the Fujifilm Award for Innovation category of the 2022 Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year (UK).
