The Atlanta Comedy Film Festival is a unique forum for comedy filmmakers and television producers from all over the world to showcase their creative works in Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Comedy Film Festival's Spring 2018 festival will take place on July 16th, 2018 in midtown Atlanta. The Atlanta Comedy Film Festival showcases short comedy films (Under 30 minutes) , Comedy Television Episodes, Micro Short Films (Under 5 minutes) and funny music videos from all over the world, in HD. Accepted films will be screened in a back-to-back, fast-paced format for a comedy film loving audience. The awards ceremony will take place at the end of the program that will recognize filmmakers for their creative work. Currently, this festival is not accepting feature length films.

12 judges watch every film from beginning to end and read every screenplay from front to back. Creative works that are submitted to the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival are eligible for the following awards:

All films submitted to the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival must be in HD 1080p format. If selected, filmmakers are expected to provide a digital download of their film in either .mp4 or .mov format. Credits for each film must be 30 minutes or less in length. The ACFF reserves the right to shorten the credits or reject the film, if this requirement is not met. All of the films are compiled and screened on Blu-Ray DVD for the festival screening.

  • Writing comedy is difficult. Judging comedy is impossible, but the folks at Atlanta Comedy Film Festival have it down to a science. If you think your work is funny, better get it into the next iteration and find out. Many thanks for making my sitcom pilot script, "Planet Venice," part of your festival.
