The Asia South East – Short Film Festival is a seasonal film festival that gives international audiences from Asia, Europe and North America, who are living or travelling in the south east of Asia, a chance to see a wide variety of the great short films that are being produced from around the world. The festival is curated by the same team that produces the annual London-Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival and the seasonal London-X4 Short Film Festival. We screen all genres from drama to action to horror to documentary to comedy to animation and more and we prize originality above all. We have awards for different genres, production locations and technical and artistic talent. The festival organisers are very proud to be able to showcase the best work of both established and upcoming filmmakers. For our upcoming season The Asia South East – Short Film Festival will screen its fantastic films in Saigon (Hồ Chí Minh City), Vietnam. Vietnam is a country with a fascinating and eventful history, it also has on average a very young and dynamic population and a creative and bohemian ex-pat community. Future editions of our festival will be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and Bali in Indonesia in collaboration with the Kompas Media (one of the largest Indonesian media companies) supported Bentara Budaya cultural institute there. Both are also exciting and richly cultured countries in this very beautiful region of the world.
