Despite being half-a-world away in New Zealand, we still felt like part of the 16th edition of this festival. In our experience of submitting to, and also being selected by various festivals, this one will now always be a special memory for us.

There was timely and good communication throughout the process from the streamlined submission to the excitement of the awards evening. It was particularly lovely to enjoy the live streamed awards, albeit at 5 am local time, and we also shared the link with our films star. So while we could not attend the festival in person, we still got to see the care and professional attention to detail that the festival organisers gave to their local audiences as well as those remotely viewing.

We are still humbled to have been a finalist for screening this year, especially after looking at the high standard of the other selected films - each of them adhering to the festivals mission of offering an interesting and unique angle on architecture and urban spaces in relation to people.
It was also lovely to be able to see some of well deserving winners receiving their awards in person, or for those not there in person, receiving them by proxy with the local embassy staff from their home countries accepting on behalf of - just another unexpected example of the care this festival provides to the filmmakers.

Thanks again for our chance to be part of it all, cheers, Kevin & Melita.
