Apolonia Film Festival also known as the The international short film festival in Fier was conceived as a meeting point for cinema enthusiasts, where for 5 days, they will have the opportunity to watch the latest Albanian as well as the most brilliant international cinematographic productions from all over the world.

The participation of young brilliant and independent filmmakers, combined with already established figures of the most cinematographic films made in the last decade will be a good way to present their works to the art lovers of this city and beyond. Apolonia Film Festival is implemented by the Epoka e Re Center, in cooperation with Fier Municipality, with the main financier "The Swedish Institute" in collaboration with the Albania Film Embassy.

The jury will award the following prizes:

- Best Feature (Fiction, Documentary, Animation)
- Best Short (Fiction, Documentary, Experimental, Animation)- Best Director;
- Best Screenplay (Feature)
- Best Cinematography (Feature and Short)
- Best Editing (Feature and Short)
- Best Actor (Feature and Short)
- Best Actress (Feature and Short)
- Best Soundtrack (Feature and Short)
- Best Make Up (Feature and Short)
- Best Production Design (Feature and Short)
- Best Animation Short
- Best Experimental Short

Rules & Terms

- Films from Albania and the International filmmaking community are welcome to submit their films
- All films must have been made in or after Dec 2021
- All films must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes for short films and a minimum duration of 60 minutes for feature films.
- All genres and theme are eligible to apply
- Each participant may submit more than one work but will have to perform registration
for each one of them.
- Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright on their own materials.
- All foreign language films must be submitted with English subtitles.
- By submitting to us, you give us the right to screen your film in front of a live audience.
- We may promote clips from your film on social media.
- We retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special
circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed about any changes through our online
platforms.
- Registration can only be made through the FilmFreeway online platform.
- No withdrawal is accepted after the film is selected.
