The Angel Film Awards is one of the most prestigious film awards in Europe held in the Principality of Monaco known as an elegant and glitzy affair, gaining it the reputation of the jewel in the crown of the International film festival circuit.
The AFA-MIFF mission is to entertain, inform, inspire, encourage and educate. We honour those artists who, through their creative work, actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints, address complex social issues, and strengthen ties between international audiences and the Angel Film Awards. An inspiring & intimate platform together with other writers, directors and producers in Monte Carlo to create new opportunities, develop tools for success and forge new alliances within the international film and entertainment industry.
The AFA-MIFF may eschew violence but this is no hippy dippy affair. It attracts some important names from the music and film industry for its message joining the elegant events with post screening VIP champagne networking receptions at some of the best hotels and clubs in Monaco.

Awards & Prizes

The AFA-MIFF Team works passionately to help worthy productions gain the publicity and recognition they deserve. Previous winners have gained distribution deals and have secured film finance through the festival.

The AFA-MIFF runs annual a short & feature screenplay competition alongside all official movie entries. The officially selected film and script will be contacted by the festival shortly after festival deadline 28 October 2026

The AFA-MIFF Screenplay Awards Celebration: The Winning Screenplay Writers are being called up on to the stage to receive the Official Award Certificate and to speak to the audience.

The AFA - MIFF selection committee is made up of acclaimed international industry professionals, directors, producers, cinematographers, screenplay writers, film journalists, actors, and the AFA founders. Votes cast decide the finalists and winners in many categories to compete for 38-awards.
Best Feature Film Prize: The Coveted Golden Angel Statue (State of the Art Trophy) & Lifetime Achievement Award (in film, art and music).

SUBMISSIONS
Festival does not refund submission fees.

OFFICIAL SELECTION
Should your film be selected, we would require you to provide: Press kit or/and promo-materials one or two official film posters to bring along to the festival and for online promotion.

SUBJECT TO CHANGES
The organizers and associated organizers reserve the right to alter, change, amend and/or cancel any part of the festival program.

No runtime limit.
Logline and synopsis should be included with all films and documentaries.
DVD's & Promotional Material will not be returned.
We will notify officially selected films only.
Film entries may be submitted by the screenwriter, director, producer, editor, production company, distributer, animator, or cinematographer.

RULES & PROTOCOL
The AFA-MIFF is a competitive independent festival. For any successful entry we ask that [one or more] the director, producer, writer, member of the cast or any other suitable representative to attend the festival & red carpet screenings and to be willing to participate in Q & A sessions on stage after the screening of their movie. Furthermore to participate in press & photo calls. We do not screen or officially announce winners without the attendance of one or more of the official film representatives at the festival.

Once your film or script is officially selected by the festival committee for your official festival screening and networking participation we ask you to purchase your VIP PASS (this VIP badge also serves as your festival accreditation access to all press and photo protocols and other official screenings, all networking evening film party events and opening red carpet events (this includes free beverages and the usual champagne hors d’oeuvre - finger foods - film industry parties to meet, network and be seen).

ACCREDITATION FESTIVAL VIP PASS €300 euros per person
The festival will register your name and you will receive your VIP Festival Badge on arrival at the AFA Monaco welcome desk (at the festival hotel). Check out for more details online :

    We attended an amazing film festival from Japan. It's the Angel Film Awards - Monaco International Film Festival. This film festival is an amazing film festival beyond your imagination.

    I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the founders of this film festival, Ms. Rosana Golden and Mr. Dean Bentley.

    There are many film festivals held around the world, but I think there are few that have as much love as the founding theme of this film festival. 

    This was my first directorial debut.I have sincerely decided that for my next film project, I would like to complete a ``feature'' and participate in the film festival again.

    I can't thank you enough for the wonderful experience! Thank you very much to everyone who treated me with love! !

    The Angel Film Awards is a celebration of not only film, but of humanity. I watched every single film in the festival. It's a diverse line-up of films , but at it's core every film celebrates the world that we want to live in. The Angel Film Awards lives true to it's mission promoting peace and non-violence.     Three words that best describe Angel Film Awards Monaco International Film Festival are elegance, class and diversity. From the time I arrived in Monte Carlo, Rosanna and her partner Dean facilitated an atmosphere where the screenwriters and filmmakers bonded. We came from all parts of the world including Great Britain, Japan, Brazil, Germany, France, the U.S and more.

    The selected films were unique and diverse. Each night we wore black tie attire. The most fun was had after the screenings at the Robuchon Monaco, a local bar where hors d'oeuvres were served, champagne flowed and friendships were fostered.

    When the screenwriter awards were announced, I was shocked and honored to have won not one but three awards. I highly recommend this film festival to both novice and established screenwriters and filmmakers for a fun filled weekend and a place to meet new contacts and friends. Lara Reznik, award winner for my screenplay Bagels & Salsa.
