Acolman: Festival Internacional de Cine

1. Podrán inscribirse cortometrajes producidos entre los años 2020-2024 y hasta la fecha de cierre de la convocatoria.

2. Los cortometrajes que no estén hablados en español deberán tener subtítulos en dicho idioma.

3. Las inscripciones son gratuitas en las siguientes categorías:
Cineminuto niñas y niños
Cineminuto jovenes y adultos
Cortometraje estado-mexiquense de ficción
Cortometraje estado-mexiquense documental

4. La cuota de inscripción ($300MX), se realiza a través de la plataforma FilmFreeway y solo aplica para las categorías de:
Cortometraje nacional de ficción
Cortometraje nacional documental
Cortometraje extranjero documental
Cortometraje extranjero de ficción

5. Los proyectos con duración mayor a un minuto y medio (1:30 min) serán considerados como cortometrajes y deberán ser inscritos en la categoría correspondiente para evitar ser descalificados.

6. La recepción de proyectos estará disponible a partir de la fecha de publicación de esta convocatoria y se recibirán hasta las 23:59 hrs del día 12 de diciembre de 2024.

7. Los realizadores, de todas las categorías deberán llenar el formulario de inscripción en el siguiente link de Google Forms: https://forms.gle/KdBLPD84o5iRWT3E9

8. No hay restricciones en cuanto al formato de grabación, ni tampoco respecto a la cantidad de materiales inscritos por realizador, pero se deberá llevar un procedimiento de inscripción individual por cada proyecto.

9. Una vez inscrita y seleccionada la obra no puede ser retirada del programa oficial del “Acolman: Festival Internacional de Cine” (AFIC).

10. Al inscribir su cortometraje, la/el director/a autoriza al AFIC la exhibición de los trabajos durante el festival de manera presencial, además de poder incluir fragmentos en promocionales, así como para ser proyectados en otros foros o muestras cinematográficas sin fines de lucro.

11. Los directores de los cortometrajes inscritos deberán hacerse responsables de la autoría de sus trabajos, suponiendo así que el cortometraje cuenta con los debidos derechos de autor. En caso de que existiera alguna violación a los derechos de autor, el proyecto resultará descalificado del certamen y se eximirá al AFIC de cualquier responsabilidad.

12. Podrán inscribirse cortometrajes ganadores o exhibidos en otros festivales o muestras de cine.

13. Alguna categoría podrá declararse desierta en caso de que no se llegue a un número adecuado de cortometrajes inscritos en dicha sección. Para este efecto, se notificará a los realizadores y se devolverán los importes de inscripción posterior al Festival o se les tomará como inscripción para la segunda edición del mismo.

14. El Comité Organizador dará a conocer el orden, lugar, horarios y fechas de exhibición de los cortometrajes seleccionados con anticipación a los participantes.

15. Lo no previsto en la presente convocatoria queda a consideración del comité organizador y su fallo será inapelable.

1. Short films produced between the years 2020-2024 and until the closing date of the call can be registered.

2. Short films that are not spanish-spoken must have subtitles in this language.

3. Registrations are free in the following categories:
Cineminute for children
Cineminute for young people and adults
Mexico's State fiction short film
Mexico's State documentary short film

4. The registration fee ($300MX) is paid through the FilmFreeway platform and only applies to the categories of:
National fiction short film
National documentary short film
Documentary foreign short film
Foreign fiction short film.

5. Projects with a duration longer than one and a half minutes (1:30 min) will be considered short films and must be registered in the corresponding category to avoid being disqualified.

6. The reception of projects will be open from the date of the publication of this call, and it will be closed at 11:59 p.m. on December 12, 2024.

8. There are no restrictions regarding the recording format, nor regarding the number of materials or projects registered per director, but an individual registration procedure must be carried out for each project.

9. Once the work is registered and selected, it cannot be removed from the official program of the “Acolman: International Film Festival” (AFIC).

10. By registering your short film, the director authorizes AFIC to exhibit the works during the festival, in addition to being able to include fragments in promotional material, as well as to be projected in other forums or film exhibitions whit non-profit purposes.

11. The director of the registered short films must be responsible for the authorship of their works, thus assuming that the short film has the proper copyright. In the event of any violation of copyright, the project will be disqualified from the contest and the AFIC will be exempt from any responsibility.

12. Winning short films or those exhibited at other festivals or film exhibitions may be entered.

13. Some category may be declared void if an adequate number of short films registered in said section is not reached. For this purpose, the filmmakers will be notified and the registration fees will be returned after the Festival or they will be taken as registration for the second edition of the Festival.

14. The Organizing Committee will announce the order, place, times and dates of exhibition of the selected short films in advance to the participants.

15. Anything not foreseen in this page will be left to consideration of the organizing committee and its decision will be final.
