ART from HEART invites filmmakers working in short-film in multiple categories to join the Short Film Festival in 2024, inspired by the theme of ECOFeminism, exploring the relationship between nature and women.

ECOFeminism uses the basic feminist tenets of equality between genders, a revaluing of non-patriarchal or nonlinear structures, and a view of the world that respects organic processes, values the earth as sacred, recognises humanity's dependency on the natural world, and embraces all life as valuable.

​We welcome new artistic interpretations on the Ecological side, Feminist side, and/or the relationship between them. We also include films made in the early decades responding to the first ECOFeminist movement that started in the 1970s.

Rules & Terms

FILMAKERS INFORMATION

THE VENUE: Screen 2, Genesis Cinema, London
SCREENING DATE: 23 March 2024 from 6-8.30 pm
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Midnight Friday 30th June 2023

All short films no longer than 30 minutes in any of the following categories:

Animation
Comedy
Dance
Drama
Documentary
Experimental
Fiction
Narrative
Science-Fiction
Thriller

Filmmakers are responsible for the copyright and credits of their films.

By submitting to us, you give us the right to screen your film in front of a live audience at the designated Cinema in London.

ART from HEART reserves the right to use images from the selected films for marketing purposes (web and print media). We may promote clips from the film on social media.

We retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed about any changes through our online platforms.

By submitting to us you agree to our terms and conditions. We will never sell your information to third parties.

We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

1. Submit your short film via the FilmFreeway platform.

2. All foreign films must have English subtitles.

2. A short film brief (maximum 100 words).

3. Attach a high-resolution jpg Poster image of your short film for Publicity.

4. Add a link to your website and social media channels.

5. Selected films will be requested in DCP format for Screening
