After studying journalism/media communications (2012) in Munich (Germany), Laura Hirch worked for several years as an editor for conscious magazines in Germany. During this time she started her first short doc film project (SHANTIPHANT), which documented the spiritual development of women through yoga. 20 short films in four seasons were created between 2014 and 2017.

In 2015, she completed a 9-month postgraduate course in documentary filmmaking in Los Angeles and subsequently gained experience in filmmaking in various positions within the film industry. She lives and works in Munich, Germany.
