Experiencing Interruptions?

Ask The Water

Ask The Water is an eco-feminist poetry film by independent filmmaker Laura Hirch and artists & poet Joanna Hruby that address the ecologically and culturally damaging effects of mass tourism and globalisation on the island of Ibiza. The poem advises us to ‚ask the water‘ for solutions regarding this crisis - for the water has stored the memories of long forgotten times when God was worshipped as an Earth Mother and the land was revered as sacred by the Phoenicinas who once resided on the island.

In additional collaboration with multidisciplinary sound artist Daniela La Luz and the Theatre of the Ancients (Ibiza).
