60 Seconds or Less...and now more!

Showcasing both Shorts that are 30 minutes or less, and Microshorts that are 60 seconds or less. The 60 Seconds or Less Video Festival embraces short-form videos in all genres - narrative, documentary, animation, music videos and commercials. Sponsored by Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland the festival offers awards and screening opportunities for an international audience.

Awards & Prizes

Awards are given in two main categories - Open Category (Everyone qualifies) or Washington College Student (project must have been completed while attending Washington College).

Award categories are somewhat determined by the entries received. Examples of past awards include recognition for Comedy, Live-Action, Animation, Documentary, Music Videos, Student (Open Category), Best of Show (Microshorts).

Rules & Terms

Entries must have been completed since January 2022.
You may submit more than one entry.
Entries including significant non-English dialogue should include on screen English subtitles.
The submitter must have the legal authority to submit the film and to have the work screened publicly including any necessary permissions. By submitting, the submitter confirms they have all the necessary rights for the screening of the film submitted, to be exhibited at the festival.
Selected videos will be screened at the 60 Seconds or Less Video Festival awards ceremony. Excerpts from selected films, trailers and stills may also be screened or published online to assist in promoting the festival.
