The 30 Dies Festival is a tiny festival located in Andorra, an European tiny country located between France and Spain which focuses on the fantastic film genre. On 2014 we had our first edition with 14 films screened during November in two venues. Our festival covers any film with fantastic elements within the genre of thriller / horror / action / creature / documentary / sci fi / fantasy - films.

RULES & TERMS 2015

1. General Information

The 30 Dies Festival is a tiny festival located in a tiny country between France and Spain who focuses on the fantastic film genre. On 2014 we had our first edition with 14 films screened during November in two venues. Our festival covers any film with fantastic elements within the genre of thriller / horror / action / creature / documentary / sci fi / fantasy - films. At this year’s edition we have three categories:
1.-Feature Films (Longer than 50 minutes)
2.-Short films (Under 20 minutes)
3.-Short films shot on a mobile device (cellphone or tablet) (under 5 minutes)
The 30 Dies Festival loves indie films and, for this reason, we accept films recorded in every format and with any kind of budget, but be sure that your film fits into our festival.

2. Selection

The 30 Dies Festival selection committee will decide which films will participate in the Festival on its own discretion. The committee is not obliged to justify its decision. After making a decision, the committee will notify successful submissions by October 12, 2015 approximately. The committee’s decision will be final.

3. Conditions of Entry

Films will be sent through FilmFreeway platform, additionally if your film is selected you will have to send digital files with this information:

- A detailed summary of the film.
- Stills, press materials and poster of the film.
- The director’s biography, filmography and a recent photo.
- English or Spanish subtitles.

The Deadline for submissions will be 12 September 2015.

4. Film language

Submitted films can be in any language but if your film is accepted you must provide English or Spanish subtitles in a .srt file.

5. Film Length

At this year’s edition we have three categories:

- Feature films shall be longer than 50 minutes.
- Short films under 20 minutes.
- Short films shot on a mobile device.

6. Screening Format

For screening purposes, the selected films must be available in digital file (mp4, mov), Blu-Ray or DVD.

7. Awards

The following prizes will be awarded:

a) Best Film.
b) Best Short Film.
c) Best short film shot on a mobile device.

These awards will be judged by a jury of people who will be representing film business. To be eligible, submitted films are not allowed to have had their cinematic release in Andorra before the festival dates.

c) Audience Award: Based on the audience decision.

These four prizes can’t remain un-awarded. There can be awards to other categories as long as the jury thinks it can be convenient to make a distinction. These awards will receive a certificate. The winners will be permitted to include the logo of the festival and the prize when advertising the film (i.e.) on posters and in advertisements.
The submitters accept that the 30 Dies Festival can use stills and 60 seconds of images of the selected films for own advertising purposes.

By submitting a film, all entrants agree to the complete contents of these regulations. Also, the submitter confirms they have all the necessary rights for the screening of the
film submitted, to be exhibited at the festival.

The director of the festival has the right to rule on all cases not foreseen by these regulations as well as allowing for exceptions.
