UkraÏna! Film Festival invites filmmakers to participate in the Feature Film Competition and Short Film Competition of the tenth edition of the festival, which will be held in Warsaw and in other Polish cities in the fall.
In this year's edition, full-length and short feature films, documentaries or animated films can be submitted.

They must be:
- Ukrainian production,
- Polish production, and those of other countries (productions related to Ukraine through, for example, subject matter, place of production or participation of Ukrainian actors and/or filmmakers, creators).

Productions should be submitted until August 15, 2026.
From among the submitted films, competition films will be selected to be screened during the 11th edition of the UkraÏna! Film Festival. During the festival, the selected films will be evaluated by a professional Jury, consisting of representatives of Polish and Ukrainian film communities.

The organizers of the UkraÏna! Film Festival create a space for people who use the language of film to talk about Ukraine. In the face of the tragic war, which has reached unimaginable proportions since February 2022, it is extremely important to speak about Ukraine, and with Ukraine, in Poland, Europe and around the world.

We envisage the following awards in the competition:
-Jury Award for Best Feature Film: 10,000 PLN
-Jury Award for Best Documentary Film: 8,000 PLN
-Jury Award for Best Short Film: 5,000 PLN
-The jury may grant additional awards or special mentions
-Audience Award for Best Feature Film
-Audience Award for Best Documentary Film

I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
The competition is organised by Fundacja Luna Plus.
The competition is held as part of the 11th edition of the UKRAINA! Film Festival.
The aim of the Competition is to present contemporary Ukrainian cinema and films related to Ukraine through their subject matter, place of production, or the participation of Ukrainian actors/characters and/or creators.
The Festival presents films both in competition sections and in non-competition sections.

II. COMPETITION SECTIONS
The competition is divided into three sections:

Feature Film Competition

Feature-length fiction films (over 60 minutes)
Ukrainian productions and co-productions
Polish productions and productions from other countries related to Ukraine through their subject matter, place of production, or the participation of Ukrainian actors and/or creators
Produced in the years: 2023–2026

Documentary Competition

Feature-length documentary films (over 60 minutes)
Ukrainian productions and co-productions
Polish productions and productions from other countries related to Ukraine through their subject matter, place of production, or the participation of Ukrainian characters and/or creators
Produced in the years: 2024–2026

Short Film Competition

Fiction, documentary or animated films (up to 35 minutes)
Ukrainian productions and co-productions
Polish productions and productions from other countries related to Ukraine through their subject matter, place of production, or the participation of Ukrainian actors/characters and/or creators
Produced in the years: 2024–2026

III. SUBMISSIONS
The submission deadline is 15 August 2026.
Films submitted after this date will not be considered.
Submissions are accepted exclusively via the FilmFreeway platform.
The screener must include English or Polish subtitles if the film is not in Polish.
The film link must not have time or territorial restrictions.
Films do not need to have premiere status (although it is welcome), however they must not have been broadcast on television available in Poland nor made available online.
Films that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered.
The submitter declares that they hold all rights necessary to submit the film to the Competition and to present it within the Festival, including the right to use film materials for promotional purposes of the Festival. The submitter bears full responsibility for any claims by third parties resulting from infringement of these rights.

IV. SELECTION RESULTS
The selection results will be announced by 15 September 2026.
The list of competition films will be published on www.ukrainaff.com.
After receiving notification of selection, the submitter is obliged to:
provide a screening copy in DCP format (Digital Cinema Package): 2K/jpeg2000/mxf, 24 fps, 25 fps, ProRes (MOV file) or H264 (MP4/MOV file) in the highest available resolution – within 14 days of receiving notification.
provide film materials including stills, director’s photo and biography, dialogue list in the original language and English and/or a ready subtitle file in .srt format, technical information and a trailer – within 7 days of receiving notification.
Submitting a screening copy with burned-in English subtitles is not permitted.
The Organiser reserves the right to produce or commission translation and Polish subtitles for festival screenings. The submitter undertakes to provide materials necessary to prepare subtitles.
After receiving notification of selection for festival screenings, the submitter undertakes not to withdraw the film from the festival.
Decisions regarding film selection are final and not subject to appeal.

V. FESTIVAL SCREENINGS
Festival screenings take place in cinemas.
In addition to the festival in Warsaw, festival screenings are held annually in other cities in Poland. Films selected for the competition may also be additionally invited to these screenings.
The Festival allows the possibility of organising online screenings as part of the event, with all conditions to be agreed individually with the rights holders.
Films presented online would be available in VOD format exclusively within the territory of Poland.
Screening copies provided to the festival organisers, as well as copies prepared by the organisers in the Polish-language version, remain in the festival archive solely for documentation purposes and will not be used without separate consent of the rights holder.
Any additional screenings outside the festival require separate consent of the rights holder.

VI. JURY AND AWARDS
Jury:
Films will be evaluated by a professional jury composed of representatives of the film industries from Poland and Ukraine.
Awards:
Jury Award for Best Feature Film: 10,000 PLN
Jury Award for Best Documentary Film: 8,000 PLN
Jury Award for Best Short Film: 5,000 PLN
The jury may grant additional awards or special mentions
Audience Award for Best Feature Film
Audience Award for Best Documentary Film
Awards are paid by bank transfer, in accordance with applicable law and after deduction of due taxes.
Financial awards are granted to the film’s producer or another entity designated by the producer.

VII. PROMOTION
The submitter agrees to the publication of information about the film on the festival website, social media, printed materials, press materials and other festival promotional channels.
For promotional purposes, the organisers may provide media outlets, television stations and partner websites with film materials, including stills, trailer or excerpts of the film provided by the rights holder.
The organisers reserve the right to use materials provided by the submitter in festival trailers and other promotional materials.

VIII. FINAL PROVISIONS
Films selected for the competition are made available to the festival organisers free of charge.
The organiser reserves the right to screen awarded films during subsequent editions of the festival.
In the case of films of exceptional artistic value, the organisers may waive the requirements of the regulations.

In all matters not covered by these Regulations, decisions are made by the organisers represented by the Festival Director.
Submitting a film is equivalent to accepting the terms of these Regulations.

IX. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION (GDPR)
Submitting a film is equivalent to granting consent by the participants for the Festival to process their personal data for the purposes of selection and for the Festival’s marketing purposes (in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1000) and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (GDPR). The controller of personal data is Fundacja Luna Plus. Personal data will be processed solely to the extent necessary for the implementation of the Festival and in accordance with applicable law.
