All films will screen inside our historic Yellow Barn located in Boulder, Colorado.

Through stories of people and their experiences with different landscapes, climates, and cultures, it is the Land itself which often emerges as the most profound and enduring character.

The Yellow Barn Film Festival explores our collective relationship with the Land through a rich and diverse programming of fiction, documentary, and art films. Here, we witness the Land's transformative power, its resilience in the face of adversity, and its capacity to inspire awe, reverence and action.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between art, nature, and community through storytelling.

We believe that film has the power to not only entertain but also to educate, inspire, and mobilize individuals and communities to take meaningful action. We believe in cinema’s potential to foster a deeper appreciation for the Land that sustains us, the ecosystems that nourish us, and the people who cultivate the earth.
