World Cinema Carnival, is an exhibitory flux of moving images that celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of filmmakers, producers, animators, video artists, and researchers. This curated event is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community that pushes the boundaries of the cinematic medium and challenges conventional language and forms. At World Cinema Carnival, our curatorial approach transcends limitations and inhibitions, constantly exploring new contextual and conceptual dimensions, and redefining the very essence of cinema.

The core philosophy of World Cinema Carnival revolves around creating a space where experimentation and innovation thrive. We believe that the power of cinema lies not only in its ability to entertain but also in its capacity to provoke thought, evoke emotions, and challenge established norms. As curators, we are dedicated to curating a diverse and compelling selection of films, embracing a wide range of genres, styles, and narratives. By doing so, we provide a platform for emerging voices and established artists to showcase their unique perspectives and unconventional approaches.

World Cinema Carnival is driven by the belief that art should not be confined or limited by preconceived notions. We encourage filmmakers, producers, animators, video artists, and researchers to explore uncharted territories, experiment with new techniques, and challenge traditional storytelling conventions. By embracing a spirit of artistic freedom, we aim to create a rich and dynamic cinematic experience that engages and captivates our audience.

Our curatorial practice is founded on a commitment to inclusivity, aiming to amplify voices from diverse backgrounds and cultures. We seek to present a mosaic of narratives and perspectives that reflect the global human experience. Through this celebration of diversity, we hope to foster a sense of unity and cross-cultural understanding among our audience.

World Cinema Carnival is not just a passive exhibition of films; it is a dynamic platform that encourages dialogue and exchange. We host panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and workshops, providing opportunities for filmmakers, artists, and researchers to connect with the audience and each other. This interactive engagement enables the exploration of ideas, collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge and experiences.

As curators, we understand that the landscape of cinema is constantly evolving. Therefore, we are committed to staying at the forefront of emerging trends, technologies, and narratives. We continuously seek out groundbreaking works that challenge the status quo and reflect the ever-changing nature of the medium.

World Cinema Carnival is a celebration of diversity, innovation, and artistic freedom. By providing a platform for filmmakers, producers, animators, video artists, and researchers, we aim to nurture a vibrant and inclusive community that pushes the boundaries of cinema. Through our dynamic curatorial practice, we invite audiences to experience thought-provoking films, engage in meaningful discussions, and explore the limitless possibilities of the cinematic medium. Join us on this exhilarating journey as we redefine and reimagine the language and forms of cinema.

The whole team of the Spherefestival did a great job! They were also very sensitive in the selection of the topic groups for the afterword session. I found the opportunity to discuss with other filmmakers really great. I've also seen many of the films submitted by colleagues from around the world and love how diverse the selection was. There wasn't a single moment when I was bored during this festival week. The festival is fresh and contemporary and I will apply again with new projects!
