The 11th VOICES Young European Film Festival will be held in Vologda and Cherepovets from 3 to 7 July 2024. This year the festival is held without the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

VOICES is one of the main Russian regional festivals, which has been held in the Vologda region since 2010. The festival focuses on Russian and foreign cinema. The program includes the works of young directors and recognized masters of cinematography.

This year, the feature film competition program accepts debuts and second feature films from EUROPEAN COUNTRIES (2022-2024). The short film competition accepts feature short films from 2023-2024.

Over the years, Alexander Sokurov, Bela Tarr, Paolo Taviani, Stefan Brize, Sergey Bodrov Sr., Claudia Cardinale, Jos Stelling, Krzysztof Zanussi, Alexander Proshkin, Alexey Fedorchenko, Marlene Khutsiev and others have become guests and members of the VOICES jury.

2022 – "Offseason", dir. Alexander Hunt
2023 – "Ada", dir. Stanislav Svetlov

There was also Malika Musayeva, Salome Kintsurashvili, Yuri Bykov, Ksenia Sereda, Frank Berry, Lars Mikkelsen, Katarzyna Kwiatkowska, Mona Ermishina and others among the laureates of the festival.

International Competition includes:

English subtitles are required for all films with dialogue unless English is the original language of the film.
