The AI Film Awards (AI Film & Ads Awards) is a leading international festival dedicated to the intersection of artificial intelligence and cinematic creativity. Organized by KM Universe, this competition celebrates how AI is transforming storytelling, imagery, and modern production techniques.

Our Mission :

Since its first edition in Cannes City in May 2024, the AI Film Awards has aimed to promote innovation in audiovisual creation. We host events in iconic cities such as Cannes, Venice, Dubai, Marrakech, Paris, Bali, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, etc ... bringing together forward-thinking minds from cinema, advertising, and technology.

We believe that AI does not replace human creativity — it enhances and reinvents it. Our ambition is to democratize access to AI tools for creators worldwide and to build a diverse community of filmmakers, technicians, and brands who push the boundaries of storytelling.

The AI Film Awards features two main editions:

World Editions: An international ceremony featuring masterclasses, the AI Film Market, workshops, and a jury of industry experts.

The AI Film Awards honor excellence in creativity, storytelling, and technical innovation in films fully generated using artificial intelligence.
Winners are selected across multiple competitive categories, as well as optional special recognitions depending on submissions and festival partners.

About the Crystal Brain Award :

The Crystal Brain Award is a heavy, glass-crafted physical trophy, securely packaged in a protective box.

Only filmmakers who:

Win an award in one of the six main categories, and attend the ceremony in person,
will receive the physical trophy on site.

Shipment Option:

Winners who cannot attend the ceremony may request to have the trophy shipped to them at their own expense (cost of the trophy + international shipping fees).
The only exception concerns shipments to the Americas, where import restrictions currently prevent the delivery of any boxed trophy.

Submission Guidelines

By submitting your film, you confirm that your team holds all necessary rights to the content and that its use does not violate third-party rights or require additional fees. Submissions must not contain offensive or unlawful content, infringe on any rights, or promote harmful or discriminatory behaviour.
Any violation may lead to disqualification. You also agree to indemnify the AI Film Awards against any legal consequences arising from such breaches.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and respect throughout the AI Film Awards Festival.

Any form of plagiarism, disrespect toward the team or other participants, or violation of the rules may result in disqualification and removal from the festival.

    It would be helpful if future editions could communicate changes to award categories more clearly.
    This year, several categories listed in the original rules were merged or removed without prior notice, leaving many participants confused about the judging process. Clear and consistent communication would help build trust and a sense of fairness.

    It would also be great to see stronger efforts to promote the selected works.
    Highlighting participants’ films on social media and creating better publicity materials would give creators something meaningful to share, helping them feel their participation was worthwhile.

    At present, the focus on sharing photos of organisers’ travels rather than participants’ work can give the impression that the festival is more about the trip than celebrating the films.
    Without stronger visibility for the creators, the experience risks feeling like a waste of money for those who invested time, entry fees, and energy to submit.

    I genuinely appreciate the effort put into organising the event and hope this feedback helps make future editions even more rewarding for everyone involved.

    This festival won't do your career any good. What's the point of renting a tent with a big screen during the Venice Film Festival and having 20 people show up for the awards ceremony? Nothing. Sadly, a lot of AI film festivals are like this. Hot air, just a business for the organisers. I wouldn't have written this review if you hadn't invited me to the WhatsApp group for all applicants and caused communication chaos there, which many participants were rightly angry about. In addition to incomplete communication of information, contradictory announced and implemented categories, and unprofessional crisis management, you also posted video clips from the event on WhatsApp. It was a nice gesture, but unfortunately it meant that everyone could see how small and insignificant the whole thing was, and that no one was interested in it. That doesn't matter, because in the documentary video you edited later, there is always a cut before you see that there was no audience.
