Vasco André dos Santos (Porto, 1997) is a director and photographer from Porto, Portugal.
His debut fiction short film, “Fall” (2020), premiered at the 10th edition of Farcume: Faro International Festival of Short Films. "Us" (2024), his second fiction short film, premiered at Ocean Coast Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Student Short and Best Drama Short.
“Root” (2020) is an experimental work, a short film developed during the CoViD-19 pandemic, with the theater group from APPC - Associação do Porto de Paralisia Cerebral, Era Uma Vez… Teatro.
In the documentary area, he directed "Extremus", with Cristóvão Costa and Sara Allen, a web series about a theatre festival, “I'm the Leader!” (2020) and "Heart in the Mouth" (2022) both produced by NEFUP - Núcleo de Etnografia e Folclore da Universidade do Porto.
He's currently working on "Process", a documentary about the behind the scenes of building a theater production and in the last short film, "When" that together with "Fall" and "Us" are part of the trilogy "When We Fall - A Trilogy About Love".
