Unknown Film Festival was definitely a unique experience!
The festival itself was organised in a very friendly-like manner, it felt like a summer camp experience, where you get to know everyone in a few hours and everyone is so polite and relaxed.

The festival was split in two days: the first day was a tour throughout Ekaterinburg, we visited couple of bars and met all attendants.

The second day started very relaxed: we arrived around midday, there was screening of all short-listed films, there was a table-tennis and table-football competition. And the most important there was a lecture by Yuri Bukov, one of the most celebrated independent directors in Russia. I think it was an intense three-hour talk about everything that could be possibly be interesting to any filmmaker, and Yuri talked about every detail and aspect in such profound way. It definitely was a unique event.

If you have a chance come and be a part of this festival, you'll find many many cool people around, visit the capital of Ural and it's gonna be a weekend you will definitely not regret about!

Unfortunately I did not have the chance to attend the festival in person, but the communication was brilliant! The festival director was always available to reply promptly to any questions and felt that this festival really deserve more. I hope it carries on in the future and hopefully I might be able to attend the next one. Thank you so much for screening LIGHTNING - it was a pleasure to be part of the UNKNOW FILM FESTIVAL. All the best, Cristina
