Trans Image/Trans Experience (TITE) Film Festival is Ireland's festival of trans and non-binary cinema, taking place each April in the Light House Cinema!

TITE 2026 took place 16-19 April 2026.

Through screenings of short and feature films from Ireland and the international trans filmmaking community, TITE aims to shift the focus of trans film from representation to craft, championing trans and non-binary filmmakers and fostering lasting connections between artists and audiences.

TITE seeks to expand audiences' understandings of trans cinema through a unique festival of exciting and engaging film, from mainstream cinema to fringe DIY filmmaking.

If you cannot afford the submission fee, please email info@tite.ie to enquire about a fee waiver code.

TITE is the BEST!! Amazing programming and fantastic community spirit. Whether it be screening legends like trailblazer Kristiene Clarke or cutting edge trans filmmakers, TITE has it all. Such a privilege to participate in a soon-to-be institution!!

  • We were so thrilled to screen TOPS and Principal Boy at the very first TITE Festival. All the films were brilliant and so thoughtfully programmed; there was a huge variety in stories/mediums/genres and it always felt well curated, like there was a through-line and a real character to the whole festival. They felt huge relief in having seen such a saturation of flawed and complex trans characters. With so much variety and such a wonderful audience, presenting both films in this context was glorious. The audience were connected through shared understanding but also totally trusting of each other to make their own meaning. How film should be shown!
