The TITAN Screenwriting Contest

***THE BIGGEST INDUSTRY JUDGES OF ANY SCREENWRITING CONTEST***

Of the hundreds of screenwriting contests, some have truly close ties to main industry.

But there aren’t many of them.

Leading script consultancy Industrial Scripts (Est 2010) established The TITAN Screenwriting Contest in early 2021 to combat this problem, and to discover and champion screenwriters, delivering their projects to people who are really able to give their projects traction.

The contest runs annually, and only runs at all if genuinely heavyweight industry judges stand behind it.

2023 JUDGES:

Basil IWANYK
is the CEO of Thunder Road and one of the most commercially and artistically successful producers in recent movie history. Having steered the JOHN WICK and CLASH OF THE TITANS franchises to vast box-office success over the past decade, Basil has also produced multiple smaller, more intimate films, to tremendous critical reception: these include SICARIO, THE TOWN, HOTEL MUMBAI, WIND RIVER, GREENLAND and A PRIVATE WAR.

Georgia BROWN
Until August 2022 Georgia Brown was the Head of Amazon Studios, Europe where she oversaw the development and production of scripted and non-scripted Prime Originals in Europe, including shows like Beat, Deutsch-Les Landes, Six Dreams and Good Omens. Georgia joined Amazon in 2017 from FremantleMedia where she was Executive Vice President of Content and Co-Productions, overseeing acquisitions for FremantleMedia International (FMI), the company’s distribution business, and working on a range of projects including Young Pope, D83, Apple Tree Yard and American Gods. Previously, Georgia was SVP of Acquisitions at Shine International, where she worked on Broadchurch, Educating Yorkshire, One Born Every Minute, 24 Hours in A&E, Masterchef and Code of a Killer. Before Shine, Georgia was a commercial manager at BBC Worldwide and worked with over 120 independent producers in the UK and internationally to manage rights acquisitions and early investment on BBC Worldwide-distributed programming including Africa, Mad Dogs, Misfits, Natural World, Primeval, Sherlock and Top Gear.

Shannon MCINTOSH
Is the Oscar-nominated producer of ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, and has been one of Quentin Tarantino’s producers of choice for his last three films. In 2021 Shannon produced the big-budget CINDERELLA re-imagining for Amazon starring Camilla Cabello, and has a number of high-profile projects in active development. Over an almost 40-year career, Shannon has also worked as a senior executive, casting producer and writer.

In addition to our 3-strong "Titan" panel, the contest is also judged by a 10-strong Senior Advisory Panel consisting of agents, managers, executives and producers of note.
