【報名資格】
1. 報名影片須為2018年1月1日到2023年3月31日（報名截止日）完成之影片，恕不接受任何未完成的作品。
2. 報名影片須以臺灣或世界之自然生態以及環境議題為主體之紀錄片，並至少符合下列條件之一：
（1）影片製作單位為在台灣登記的法人機構，或導演，或製片須具有中華民國身分證或居留證明。
（2）於臺灣境內拍攝之片段佔實際片長之30%以上。
3. 片長：
含演職人員表，長片：片長須超過30分鐘以上，短片片長30分鐘以內。
4. 長短片皆可角逐攝影、剪輯、敘事、音樂/音效與評審特別獎。除長短片項目受片長限制外，各獎項之入選影片由初選委員決定。
【Eligibility】
1. The film must have been completed between January 1, 2018 and March 31, 2023 (the deadline for application). No unfinished works will be accepted.
2. The film must be a documentary film about natural ecology and environmental issues in Taiwan or around the world, and must meet at least one of the following criteria.
(1) The film production unit is a legal entity registered in Taiwan, or the director, or the producer must have a Taiwan identity card or proof of residence.
(2) 30% or more of the actual length of the film has to be shot in Taiwan.
3. Length of the film.
The length of a feature film must be more than 30 minutes, and the length of a short film must be less than 30 minutes.
4. All films are eligible to compete for the Photography, Editing, Narrative, Music/Sound, and Special Jury Awards. The selection of films for each category will be decided by a preliminary selection committee.

5. 報名者應授權同意主辦單位無償使用所提供之影片、預告片、劇照及影片相關資料，並同意主辦單位得下載使用、重製、改作、編輯入圍影片之圖文影音資料，用於影展宣宣傳推廣等活動使用，得以公開上映、公開演出、公開口述、公開展示等。利用之區域及期限不限，用途包含但不限於影展宣傳、媒體報導說，結案留存等等。
6. 若有違反本簡章之規定，如涉及智慧財產權或其它法律糾紛，經查證屬實，主辦單位得取消參賽資格及得獎資格，並追回獎座及獎金，相關衍生之法律問題由報名者自行負責。
7. 本簡章如有未竟事宜，主辦單位得依實際需要修正或另行補充公布。

6. If there is any violation of the provisions of this brief, or if intellectual property rights or other legal disputes are involved, the organizer may cancel the eligibility for participation and award, and recover the trophy and prize money, and the entrant shall be responsible for any related legal issues.

【評選方式】
1. 初選：主辦單位組織初選小組從報名影片中選出各獎項入選影片至多5部，入選名單預計將於 2023年8月初於影展官方網站公布。
2. 決選：邀請相關業界之專業工作者擔任評審進行決選，並於影展頒獎典禮公布得獎結果。
【Selection Method】
1. Preliminary Selection:
The organizer will convene a preliminary selection panel to select up to five films for each category from among the submitted films.
The list of nominees will be announced on the official website of the festival in early August 2023.
2. Final Selection:
Professionals from related industries will be invited to serve as judges for the final selection, and the results will be announced at the festival awards ceremony.

4. 入選影片所提供之影片、預告片、劇照及其他相關資料，須同意免費授權本影展於活動期間使用於電視、網路、其他媒體（影片之使用以三分鐘內為限），以及本影展製作之節目手冊、宣傳品、影展網站等作為媒體宣傳活動及頒獎典禮之用。

4. The films, trailers, stills, and other related information provided for the selected films may be used on TV, the internet, and other media (the use of films is limited to three minutes), as well as in program brochures, promotional materials, and the festival website to promote media activities and award ceremonies during the event period.
【入選及得獎影片義務與須知】
1. 本次競賽之入圍影片，將由主辦單位贈予入圍證書並參與主辦單位邀請之影展期間映後座談與頒獎典禮等放映相關活動。
2. 得獎者須依規定扣繳10%獎金所得稅額。但得獎人如為非中華民國境內居住之個人（在中華民國境內居住未達183天之人），依規定扣繳 20%稅率。
3. 入圍影片須簽署放映同意書，無償提供主辦單位進行4次巡迴影展放映。其餘放映將依影片長度另行支應（新台幣3,000-7,000元不等之）放映費。依片長本社將於放映前通知版權所有人。本屆巡迴放映預計將於臺灣北、中、南、東四地，擇一博物館或國家公園展館進行。校園公益影展則開放臺灣國小、國中至高中職教師申請入圍或得獎影片於校內放映。
【Obligations of selected and awarded films】
1. Shortlisted films will be given a certificate by the organizer and will need to participate in post-screening seminars and award ceremonies by invitation from the organizer during the festival.
2. Winners are required to pay 10% tax on the prize money in accordance with government regulations. However, if the winner is an individual who does not reside in the R.O.C. (or a person who has resided in the Taiwan for less than 183 days), a 20% tax rate shall be deducted in accordance with government regulations.
3. Finalists must sign a screening agreement and provide the organizer with four screenings of their films at no cost. Any subsequent screenings will be paid for separately (NT$3,000~7,000) depending on the length of the film. Depending on the length of the film, we will notify the copyright holder before the screening. This year's tour is scheduled to take place in museums and national parks in northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan. A public school service film festival will be held in the schools for elementary, junior high, and high school teachers in Taiwan, where the films will be screened.
