1. 報名影片須為2022年4月1日到2025年3月31日（報名截止日）完成之影片，恕不接受任何未完成之作品
2. 報名影片須以臺灣或世界之自然生態以及環境議題為主體之紀錄片，並至少符合下列條件之一：
(1) 影片製作單位為在台灣登記的法人機構，或導演、製片須具有中華民國身分證或居留證明。
(2) 於臺灣境內拍攝之片段佔實際片長之30%以上。
3. 片長：
含演職人員表。長片：片長須超過40分鐘以上，短片片長40分鐘零秒（含）以內。
4. 除片長限制外，長短片皆可勾選報名角逐各類獎項。
■□【報名注意事項】
1. 報名者須為報名影片之導演、製片或製作公司，且為該作品之著作財產權人。
2. 報名者若與多人（單位）共享著作財產權，需取得所有著作財產權人之共同同意。
3. 報名者須詳實提供報名所需之各項資料，並確保報名影片之所有內容皆為合法使用，無任何侵權或違法之事項。影片中若有使用他人作品、肖像、影像、圖像及聲音、音樂等，皆須自行取得智慧財產權人之授權，不得有抄襲、剽竊之情事。
4. 凡報名者，視同同意本簡章規定，並須簽署參賽同意書。
5. 報名者應授權同意主辦單位無償使用所提供之影片、預告片、劇照及影片相關資料，並同意主辦單位得下載使用、重製、改作、編輯入圍影片之圖文影音資料，用於影展宣傳推廣等活動使用，得以公開上映、公開演出、公開口述、公開展示等。利用之區域及期限不限，用途包含但不限於影展宣傳、媒體報導說，結案留存等等。
6. 若有違反本簡章之規定，如涉及智慧財產權或其它法律糾紛，經查證屬實，主辦單位得取消參賽資格及得獎資格，並追回獎座及獎金，相關衍生之法律問題由報名者自行負責。
7. 本簡章如有未竟事宜，主辦單位得依實際需要修正或另行補充公布。

（5） 影片劇照3-5張，導演個人照1張（300 dpi以上）

■□【評選方式】
1. 初選：主辦單位組織初選小組從報名影片中選出各獎項入選影片至多5部，入圍名
單預計將於 2025年6月公布。
2. 決選：邀請相關業界之專業工作者擔任評審進行決選，並於影展頒獎典禮公布得獎結果。
■□【入選影片繳交資料】
1. 入圍影片需符合商業映演戲院放映標準之DCP放映拷貝（請備註放映格數）或HD以上符合以下規格之MOV檔案：

4. 入選影片所提供之影片、預告片、劇照及其他相關資料，須同意免費授權本影展於活動期間使用於電視、網路、其他媒體（影片之使用以三分鐘內為限），以及本影展製作之節目手冊、宣傳品、影展網站等作為媒體宣傳活動及頒獎典禮之用。
■□【入選及得獎影片義務與須知】
1. 本次競賽之入圍影片，將由主辦單位贈予入圍證書並參與主辦單位邀請之影展期間映後座談與頒獎典禮等放映相關活動。
2. 得獎者須依規定扣繳10%獎金所得稅額。但得獎人如為非中華民國境內居住之個人（在中華民國境內居住未達183天之人），依規定扣繳 20%稅率。
3. 入圍影片須簽署放映同意書，無償提供主辦單位進行4次巡迴影展放映。其餘放映將依影片長度另行支應（新台幣3,000-7,000元不等之）放映費。依片長本社將於放映前通知版權所有人。本屆巡迴放映預計將於臺灣北、中、南、東四地，擇一博物館或國家公園及展館進行。校園公益影展則開放臺灣國小、國中至高中職教師申請入圍或得獎影片於校內放映。

■□【𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆】
1. The film must have been completed between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2025 (submission deadline). No unfinished works will be accepted.
2. Submitted films must be documentaries focusing on natural ecology and environmental issues in Taiwan or worldwide, and must meet at least one of the following criteria.
(1) The film production team must be a legal entity registered in Taiwan, or the director or the producer must have a Taiwan identity card or residence permit.
(2) At least 30% of the film must have been shot in Taiwan.
3. Film Duration (including credits)
Feature films: Over 40 minutes.
Shot films: 40 minutes or less.
4. All films are eligible to compete for all award categories, subject only to duration requirements.
■□【𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀】
1. Applicants must be the director, producer, or production company of the submitted film, and the copyright owner of the work.
2. If copyright is shared among multiple parties (individuals or organizations), written consent must be obtained from all copyright holders.
3. Applicants must provide complete and accurate submission information and ensure that all film content was legally obtained and used.
If the film contains other people's works, portraits, images, pictures, sounds, music, etc., authorization by the intellectual property owner is required. No plagiarism will be allowed.
4. All applicants shall be deemed to have agreed to the provisions of this brief, and shall sign the consent form for participation.
5. Applicants shall grant the organizer the right to use all submitted materials, including films, trailers, still images, and film-related content without compensation, and agree that the organizer may download, reproduce, rework, and edit the graphic and audio materials of the selected films for use in promotional and publicity activities related to the festival, and for public screening, public performances, public narration, and public display. There are no limits to the area and duration of use, and the use includes but is not limited to promotion of the film festival, media coverage, the closing of the case for retention, etc.
6. If there is any violation of the provisions of this brief, or if intellectual property rights or other legal disputes are involved, the organizer may cancel the eligibility for participation and award, and recover the trophy and prize money, and the entrant shall be responsible for any related legal issues.
7. If there are any other situations not covered in this statement, the organizer may make separate amendments or announcements according to the actual situation.

All entries must be received by 23:59 (GMT+8) on Monday, March 31, 2025. Incomplete submissions or entries received after the deadline will not be eligible for jury consideration. No cancellations or withdrawals will be accepted after Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

(1) Freefilmway registration form
(2) Film synopsis in Chinese of less than 300 words.
(3) Director’s biographical information in Mandarin of less than 300 words.
(4) A valid online trial or download link and password for the film with a resolution of 1920*1080 or higher, including Chinese subtitles, and a watermark if necessary. Please make sure that the link and password are valid before the announcement of the selection results. Do not change the link path or the content of the video to avoid affecting the selection process.
(5) Stills: Three to five pictures (300 dpi or higher). Director’s headshot (300 dpi or higher).
(6) Applicants who apply as a director or producer must provide a scanned copy of the front and back of their ID card or residence permit and contact information. If you are applying as a production company, please provide proof of your company registration and contact information. (Please upload in "Files & Attachments” in your project.
(7) If the film has a joint copyright, please provide proof of consent from all copyright owners. (Please upload in "Files & Attachment” in your project).

■□【𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱】
1. Shortlist Selection:
The organizer will convene a shortlist selection panel to select up to five films for each category from among the submitted films. The list of nominees will be announced in June 2025.
2. Final Selection:
Professionals from related industries will be invited to serve as judges for the final selection, and the results will be announced at the Festival Awards Ceremony.
■□【𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻】
Nominated films must provide either:
1. A DCP (Digital Cinema Package) that meets theatrical screening standards (Please specify aspect ratio) or
2. Mov files in HD or higher resolution that meet the following specifications.

2. After receiving the notification, please send the film to the address specified by the organizer at your own expense within one week, or provide a link to download the film online, with the same content as the preliminary selection and Mandanary selection and Chinese subtitles.
3. Promotional materials of the film, including but not limited to the following information, and other promotional material
(1) Stills: three-five pictures (300 dpi or higher)
(2) Headshots of the director and selected crew members (300 dpi or higher).
(3) Film poster and title logo (AI or PSD format).
(4) Trailer (Mov in HD or higher).
(5) Textless footage of full film or clip of Mov in HD or higher resolution, for festival trailer production.
(6) Director's or team's acceptance statement of 300 words or less.
(7) Director's biography and filmography.
(8) Record of film festival participation.
4. The films, trailers, stills, and other related information provided for the selected films may be used on TV, the internet, and other media (the use of films is limited to three minutes), as well as in program brochures, promotional materials, and the festival website to promote media activities and award ceremonies during the event period.
■□【𝗢𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺𝘀】
1. All nominated films will receive a nomination certificate by the organizer. Representatives are required to participate in festival activities including post-screening seminars and the award ceremony.
2. Winners are required to pay a 10% tax on the prize money in accordance with government regulations. However, if the winner is an individual who does not reside in the R.O.C. (or a person who has resided in the Taiwan for less than 183 days), a 20% tax rate shall be deducted in accordance with government regulations.
3. Finalists must sign a screening agreement and provide the organizer with four complimentary screenings for the festival tour. Any additional screenings will separately be paid a screening fee (NT$3000~7000) depending on the length of the film, and we will notify the copyright holder before the screening. This year's tour is scheduled to take place in museums and national parks in northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan. Educational screenings will be held in schools for elementary, junior high, and high school teachers in Taiwan, depending on applications from teachers for educational purposes.
