The Associazione Arte e Spiritualità, managing body of the Museo Collezione Paolo VI – Contemporary Art (www.collezionepaolovi.it
), in collaboration with the Festival della Pace Brescia and the Accademia di Belle Arti SantaGiulia, announces the first edition of SPOT FOR PEACE, a creative contest inviting participants to tell stories of peace through the contemporary language of advertising.
Today widely recognized as both an art form and a shared communication tool, the advertising spot is here provocatively called upon to promote not a consumer product, but an invaluable common good: peace. This deliberately disorienting juxtaposition — peace cannot be bought or sold — aims to overturn the traditional persuasive function of advertising, placing it instead at the service of non-commercial values.
The goal is to engage young people and creatives in producing short, original videos capable of transforming a marketing tool into a means of spreading values such as solidarity, nonviolence, dialogue, and justice. In this way, the contest presents itself as an innovative and non-rhetorical platform for promoting and enhancing a true culture of peace.
The shortlisted finalists will be presented during a public event evening at the Cinema Nuovo Eden in Brescia, within the framework of the Festival della Pace 2026. During the event, the winner will be announced and awarded.
The selected video will be distributed as an official “spot for peace” and screened before film screenings in the 2027 program of Cinema Nuovo Eden.
In addition, a cash prize of €1,000 will be awarded.
