The San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival is adding to its biennial event! We invite aerial artists, filmmakers, and enthusiasts to submit their captivating aerial dance films for consideration. We're looking for films that capture the grace, strength, and imagination of the aerial arts, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Whether you're a seasoned filmmaker or a daring aerialist with a camera, we want to see your work!

For over 10 years, the San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival has been a stage for some of the most innovative and extraordinary artists in the aerial performance community. Now, we're continuing a captivating new dimension—the Aerial Arts Film Festival. This festival is dedicated to uniting the thrill of aerial arts with the magic of filmmaking.

Rules & Terms

Submission Guidelines:
- Films must prominently feature aerial arts as a central theme.

- Submissions of all genres, from documentaries to experimental pieces, are welcome.

- Shorts should be 3 - 6 minutes in length which features aerial arts. These projects can include, but are not limited to; Aerial Performance, Experimental, Music Video, and Documentary.

- Feature-length films should be no longer than 30 minutes in length.

- Submissions must be made via [Submission Portal Link] by Sunday, March 15, 2026.

- All selected films will be screened during the San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival 2026.

- Films that have previously premiered can apply.

- Festival applicants MUST have rights to all images, music, etc.

- Films must not be promotional materials or reels.

- Films considered X-rated will NOT be accepted.

Applicant must sign a liability waiver and limited media release but will retain rights to their work.
