The Septimius Awards is a award ceremony that showcases the best films and talent from around the world. Every year we award the best film makers, writers and producers by inviting them to our annual competition hosted in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We showcase various genres from non-fiction to fiction films. The award ceremony has a wide range of attendees which include Emmy, BAFTA and Oscar winners.

Not only do we grant prizes to the winners, but we also connect filmmakers to our network of professionals. Connecting filmmakers with our extensive database of industry professionals. We also have prominent international ambassadors such as Stedman Graham (partner of Oprah Winfrey).

Rules & Terms

1) Short films: maximum 80 minutes. Feature films: 80+ minutes.
2) One film can be entered in multiple categories to increase nomination chances.
3) All Non-English films must be subtitled in English.
4) We never publicly share screenings, all screenings are viewed privately. Only our judges will see your movie.
5) All winners will receive a trophy.
6) Only attending nominees are considered for the Septimius Awards.
7) Submitter grant Septimius Awards to right to show short highlights of their projects during the award ceremony and stills of the projects will be published in the Septimius Book.
7) Entry fees are non-refundable.
8) The decision of jury members will be final and accepted by all no inquiries or arguments will be entertained. The organizers reserve the right not to award any or all of the prizes.
9) Submitter is aware that the Septimius Awards is being filmed and that you grant Septimius Awards the right for the event footage, such as red carpet interviews and the award ceremony to published on TV and the Internet.
10) The entire event will be broadcast on Dutch television.
11) The applicant agrees to have read and accepted the rules & regulations for participation in the Septimius Awards.
The applicant confirms that they have the requisite authority or has obtained the requisite authority from the producer/right holder to enter this film in the Septimius Awards .
12) We can withdraw at any time the selection or the award if these rules are not respected.
13) We generally do not grant waivers.

    Un'Esperienza Straordinaria e Impeccabile. Un Vero Gala del Cinema.

    Scrivere una recensione per i Septimius Awards è quasi difficile, perché le parole a malapena riescono a descrivere la grandiosità e la professionalità di questo evento. È stata un'esperienza spettacolare, al limite dell'incredibile, che ha superato ogni mia aspettativa.

    L'evento è un vero e proprio gala cinematografico, imponente e organizzato in una location da sogno come il Tuschinski Theatre di Amsterdam. La presenza di stampa, televisioni e star di Hollywood (quest'anno tra gli ospiti figurava persino Kevin Spacey) dà la misura del prestigio di questi awards.

    Quello che mi ha colpito di più è stata l'organizzazione meticolosa e l'accoglienza straordinaria. Ogni artista, dal più piccolo al più grande, viene messo sullo stesso livello, coccolato e valorizzato. Ci si sente parte di un'isola felice, dove la fatica e la passione per il proprio lavoro vengono veramente riconosciute e celebrate. L'ospitalità è stata impeccabile, con open bar e snack deliziosi e curati, dettagli che fanno la differenza. La comunicazione è sempre stata lodevole e puntuale.

    È importante sapere, per chi volesse sottoporre il proprio lavoro, che la presenza di almeno un membro del team ad Amsterdam per i due giorni dell'evento è una condizione necessaria per la selezione. È una trasferta da mettere in conto, ma basandomi sulla mia esperienza, posso dire che ne è valsa assolutamente ogni centesimo.

    È un evento che consiglio a chiunque voglia vivere il vero significato di una celebrazione del cinema e vedere il proprio lavoro trattato con il massimo rispetto.
