Wharton Studio Museum (WSM) proudly presents Quiet on the Set! Film Festival. This short silent film competition for Southern Tier youth is a terrific opportunity to introduce students to the art of filmmaking and showcase their creativity and imagination.

Prizes & Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 films & honorable mentions. Winners are selected by a jury of local educators and arts professionals.

• Open to youth (ages 11-18) from anywhere in the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Central NY regions

• Submissions may be made by an individual or group

• Runtime up to 3 minutes in length

• Films must be black and white. A sepia-tone hue for your film is acceptable. In terms of color, 25% can be in color or use color for tone.

• Films must be silent -- no spoken dialogue

• Music soundtrack & instrumental sound effects must be original or public domain (Places to find public domain music are Internet Archive https://archive.org or Free Music Archive https://freemusicarchive.org/#google_vignette)

• Films must include credits

• Films can include animation but still must remain in black & white

• NO explicit content (no gun violence, no sex, no alcohol, or drugs).
