QueerX is a one-of-a-kind festival celebrating the world of brilliant digital content, created by and for the global queer community. QueerX brings you to the intersection of music, film and industry. Inclusive of all identities, the festival pushes boundaries the same way our community does by fostering connection and empowering queer voices.

Originally founded as Out Web Fest in 2016, QueerX breaks the mold of other festivals by giving prominence to honest and unfiltered digital short-form storytelling . Beyond screenings, this unique festival also invites cutting edge musicians to showcase their sound through live performances including panels with top industry experts, providing ample opportunity to meet future collaborators and build professional relationships. QueerX aims to create a space where artists, industry professionals and enthusiasts alike can connect while exploring the future of queer entertainment.

QueerX will be held June 5th - June 7th in West Hollywood, California. The festival kicks off Friday night with an Exclusive Industry Party on the Sunset Strip and continues Saturday and Sunday at the London Hotel West Hollywood with screenings and panels. QueerX concludes with the star-studded Visibility Awards and closing night party.

Throughout the weekend, our annual Powerhouse Industry Pitchfest gives creators the rare opportunity to pitch projects one-on-one to top producers and production companies.

This year QueerX is happy to announce an extraordinary International Audience Award prizes: one ticket for travel, accommodations and entry into Rio Web Fest in beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Awards & Prizes

Jury Awards will be given in the following categories:

Comedy Short
Comedy Digital Series
Drama Short
Drama Digital Series
Music Video

At the conclusion of each category screening, the theatre audience will be given the opportunity to vote via secret ballot for the most outstanding entry. The winners of the Jury Awards will be announced at the closing night party.

We are a family of film lovers trying to keep art alive in Brazil. Our film was done totally independently with our savings money. Being part of QueerX 2020 was not only an honor, but also a prove that there are more like us around, struggling to keep art alive, free and strong. Thank you so much for renewing our hope!!!

  • I was beyond excited to be chosen to participate in this festival - and I could not be happier with the way my film was presented during its run. The pandemic has forced festivals to go with an online format, but in a lot of ways that was a benefit. My film Treasure ran twice daily nearly every day for weeks! That was far more visibility than I would have gotten from a physical festival. That being said, I can’t wait to participate in this festival in the future when I can meet and network with other filmmakers in the flesh. Overall, it was a great experience.

What an absolutely fabulous festival!! Revry's QueerX Fest is seriously on point; while some LGBTQ+ film festivals may tend to skew a certain direction in their programming, QueerX is boldly inclusive. From knock-out performances and live music, to smart networking and industry seminars, QueerX was the perfect way to start off Pride season <3
