The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, received, this morning, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Carthage Palace, Mrs. Giorgio Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, who was accompanied by a high-level delegation that included, in particular, the Minister of the Interior, the Madam Minister of University and Research, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian government.
This meeting represented an occasion through which the President of the Republic renewed his expression of Tunisia’s pride in its strong historical relations with Italy, and stressed his keenness to continue strengthening the year of consultation and coordination, strengthening and diversifying the ties of cooperation and partnership between the two friendly countries, in the bilateral and multilateral frameworks, in the service of the common interest of the Tunisian and Italian peoples.

The Head of State also noted the important momentum witnessed in the exchange of visits between the two countries at various levels, and recalled the important opportunities available to Tunisia and Italy to diversify mechanisms of cooperation, partnership and exchange, not only in traditional fields but also in new and promising sectors.
On another level, the President of the Republic reaffirmed Tunisia’s firm position that rejects our country being a destination or crossing point for irregular migrants.
In this context, the Head of State called for adopting a collective approach to the issue of migration and combating networks of trafficking in human beings and human organs in the south and north of the Mediterranean, recalling, by the way, that Tunisia, which clings to human values, has made great efforts to care for irregular migrants, but it cannot, like any country based on The law cannot accept illegal situations on its territory.

The President of the Republic pointed out that irregular immigrants are victims of a global economic system, of which Tunisia was not one of the causes, but rather one of its victims. In addition, these flows into our country in this way clearly indicate the existence of organizations that stand behind them.
Following the bilateral talks, the President of the Republic and the Italian Prime Minister supervised the signing ceremony of the following agreements:
• An agreement between the government of the Tunisian Republic and the government of the Italian Republic to support the general budget of the Tunisian state,
• A financial agreement between the Central Bank of Tunisia and the Italian Deposits and Loans Corporation regarding supporting and financing small and medium enterprises.
• A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Italian Ministry of University and Research for cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research.

استقبل رئيس الجمهورية قيس سعيّد، صباح اليوم الأربعاء 17 أفريل 2024 بقصر قرطاج، السيّدة جورجيا ميلوني، رئيسة مجلس الوزراء الإيطالية، التي كانت مرفوقة بوفد رفيع المستوى ضمّ بالخصوص السيّد وزير الداخلية والسيّدة وزيرة الجامعة والبحث والسيّد نائب وزير الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بالحكومة الإيطالية.
ومثّل هذا اللقاء مناسبة جدّد من خلالها رئيس الجمهورية الإعراب عن اعتزاز تونس بعلاقاتها التاريخية المتينة مع إيطاليا، والتأكيد على الحرص على مواصلة تعزيز سنّة التشاور والتنسيق وتوثيق روابط التعاون والشراكة وتنويعها بين البلدين الصديقين، في الإطارين الثنائي ومتعدّد الأطراف، خدمة للمصلحة المشتركة للشعبين التونسي والإيطالي.
كما نوّه رئيس الدولة بالزخم الهام الذي يشهده نسق تبادل الزيارات بين البلدين على مختلف المستويات، وذكّر بما يتوفّر لتونس وإيطاليا من فرص هامة لتنويع آليات التعاون والشراكة والتبادل لا فقط في المجالات التقليدية بل أيضا في قطاعات جديدة وواعدة.
وعلى صعيد آخر، أكّد رئيس الجمهورية، مجدّدا، على موقف تونس الثابت الرافض لأن تكون بلادنا مستقرا أو معبرا للمهاجرين غير النظاميين.
ودعا رئيس الدولة، في هذا الإطار، إلى اعتماد مقاربة جماعية لمسألة الهجرة ومحاربة شبكات المتاجرة بالبشر وبأعضاء البشر في جنوب المتوسط وفي شماله، مذكّرا، بالمناسبة، بأن تونس المتشبثة بالقيم الإنسانية بذلت جهودا كبيرة لرعاية المهاجرين غير النظاميين لكنها لا يمكن لها كأي دولة تقوم على القانون أن تقبل بأوضاع غير قانونية على أراضيها.
وأشار رئيس الجمهورية إلى أن المهاجرين غير النظاميين هم ضحايا نظام اقتصادي عالمي لم تكن تونس سببا من أسبابه بل هي من ضحاياه، فضلا عن أن هذه التدفقات على بلادنا بهذا الشكل تدل بكل وضوح على وجود تنظيمات هي التي تقف وراءها.
وأشرف رئيس الجمهورية ورئيسة مجلس الوزراء الإيطالية، في أعقاب المحادثات الثنائية، على مراسم توقيع الاتفاقيات التالية:
• اتفاق بين حكومة الجمهورية التونسية وحكومة الجمهورية الإيطالية لدعم الميزانية العامة للدولة التونسية،
• اتفاقية مالية بين البنك المركزي التونسي ومؤسسة الودائع والقروض الإيطالية بخصوص دعم وتمويل المؤسسات الصغرى والمتوسطة،
• مذكرة تفاهم بين وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي ووزارة الجامعة والبحث الإيطالية للتعاون في مجالي التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي.

G7 Italy 2024 Foreign Ministers’ Statement on Addressing Global Challenges, Fostering Partnerships

The text of the following statement was released by the G7 foreign ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America and the High Representative of the European Union.

I. INTRODUCTION
As the international community faces multiple crises we, the G7 Foreign Ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and the High Representative of the European Union, renew our commitment to upholding the rule of law, humanitarian principles and international law, including the Charter of the United Nations, and to protecting human rights and dignity for all individuals.

We reiterate the need to take collective action to preserve peace and stability and to address global challenges such as climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss, global health, education, gender inequality, poverty, food insecurity and malnutrition, violent extremism and terrorism, information integrity and a digital transition that respects, protects, and promotes human rights and fundamental freedoms.

We affirm our commitment to free societies and democratic principles, where all persons can freely exercise their rights and freedoms. Human rights are universal, indivisible, interdependent and interrelated.

We reaffirm our commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda) and to re-energize efforts towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as multidimensional crises, and particularly the pandemic and ongoing major conflicts, have set back progress towards their achievement.

We will continue to work in close cooperation with our partners and with relevant multilateral fora such as the G20. Global challenges require solidarity and a cohesive international response, looking for shared solutions for peace, stability, and development, leaving no one behind.

I. مقدمة
في الوقت الذي يواجه فيه المجتمع الدولي أزمات متعددة، نحن، وزراء خارجية مجموعة السبع في كندا وفرنسا وألمانيا وإيطاليا واليابان والمملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، والممثل السامي للاتحاد الأوروبي، نجدد التزامنا بدعم القاعدة. للقانون والمبادئ الإنسانية والقانون الدولي، بما في ذلك ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وحماية حقوق الإنسان والكرامة لجميع الأفراد.

ونؤكد من جديد ضرورة اتخاذ إجراءات جماعية للحفاظ على السلام والاستقرار والتصدي للتحديات العالمية مثل تغير المناخ والتلوث وفقدان التنوع البيولوجي والصحة العالمية والتعليم وعدم المساواة بين الجنسين والفقر وانعدام الأمن الغذائي وسوء التغذية والتطرف العنيف والإرهاب وسلامة المعلومات. والانتقال الرقمي الذي يحترم ويحمي ويعزز حقوق الإنسان والحريات الأساسية.

ونؤكد التزامنا بالمجتمعات الحرة والمبادئ الديمقراطية، حيث يستطيع جميع الأشخاص ممارسة حقوقهم وحرياتهم بحرية. حقوق الإنسان عالمية وغير قابلة للتجزئة ومترابطة ومترابطة.

نؤكد من جديد التزامنا بخطة التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030 (خطة 2030) وإعادة تنشيط الجهود نحو تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، حيث أدت الأزمات متعددة الأبعاد، ولا سيما الوباء والصراعات الكبرى المستمرة، إلى إعاقة التقدم نحو تحقيقها.

وسنواصل العمل بالتعاون الوثيق مع شركائنا ومع المنتديات المتعددة الأطراف ذات الصلة مثل مجموعة العشرين. وتتطلب التحديات العالمية التضامن والاستجابة الدولية المتماسكة، والبحث عن حلول مشتركة للسلام والاستقرار والتنمية، وعدم ترك أحد يتخلف عن الركب.
