Pori Film Festival is an event that celebrates the diversity of cinema and audiovisual arts.
We are an easily accessible and independent film festival. During festival, we also host art exhibitions, live music and seminars. Our festival’s atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. We bring together all kinds of people, locally and globally.
This annual festival is organized for the 9th time by an independent non-profit cultural association Rapajööti with experience in multidisciplinary events, audio/visual arts, music and performative arts in Pori, west coast of Finland.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
This year’s theme is community. “What makes me “me”?” - community’s relation to oneself.
A community is a social unit (a group of living things) with a shared socially significant characteristic, such as place, set of norms, culture, religion, values, customs, or identity.
Short films can approach these topics for example from these angles: connection with nature, indigenous peoples, fan culture, the experiences of gender and sexual minorities, and the work community or the lack of it. We want to tackle the topic with as many voices as possible and from many different perspectives.
We invite filmmakers / artists to share with us works that resonate with the ethos portrayed above.
The submission fees are asked only to limit the amount of films submitted and to find the filmmakers and submitters that have read the description of the festival and truly think that their film would fit the description. The money collected will be directed to the screening fees of the selected films.
Films can be of any category, e.g. experimental, documentary, animation, video art, fiction.
Every film that is selected will be paid a screening fee of 50 euros.
Otherwise the festival is non-competitive.
