Parissa Pirouzan Glaser is an indie filmmaker born and raised in Tehran, Iran now living and working in the US.
She holds a Ph.D. in Translation from the University of Salamanca in Spain. Prior to embarking on her film-making career, she spent nearly a decade working at some of Silicon Valley's most revered tech companies, including Google, Uber and Pinterest, leading international launches and expansions.
In her filmmaking journey, she passionately advocates for the representation of Iranian and Middle Eastern minorities, focusing particularly on strong women, the LGBTQ+ community and non-religious individuals whose stories are rarely told through their own eyes. She aspires to portray those like herself who are often misrepresented or altogether not represented in Western media and productions.
