Oslo/Fusion Film Festival was founded in 1990. It is Norway's only film festival dedicated to stories of, by and for the LGBTQIA2S+ / QTIBIPOC community. It also one of the country's longest running film festivals, and the largest festival solely dedicated to promote and increase diversity, equality and acceptance through entertainment, film screenings, panel discussions and related events.
In 2023 we celebrate our 33 edition and we invite you to join us!

Film is a powerful medium that can entertain, educate and create change, all at the same time. Films that explore and celebrate diversity in identity, gender, sexuality, personal expression, cultural and ethnic background. Stories of resilience, strength and human rights activism to challenge outdated norms and common misconceptions in our global society.

"The problem for us is that we can sometimes be so "anti" what the problem is - I want us to be more "pro" what the solution is." - Afeni Shakur

Despite not being able to attend in person, Oslo/Fusion provided great communication and it was a joy to watch from a far the strength of the festival. We were honoured to have Homebird play among some great shorts and hopefully we can be involved again in the future!

Oslo/Fusion is such a nice festival with a really well curated program. It was great to be there as a guest and to see all the amazing films.
I enjoyed every second of it and will for sure go again next year! <3

  • I was so grateful to be part of this festival! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to be there in person, because I live in New York, but the festival staff helped me feel present with excellent communication and support. Hope I can come to the next!

A festival of this topic is really a necessary one. Please keep working on generating this exquisite programming for the audiences.

It was such an honour to have our film screened at two of the most respected cinemas in Oslo through the Oslo/Fusion festival. While the filmmakers' participation was limited during the events, the quality of the screenings was top-notch and the festival staff were very chill and hospitable. The selection of films was quite varied despite the festival having a specific theme (queer stories), and I quite enjoyed watching the shorts as well one of the features.
