The Ottawa Canadian Film Festival is artist and volunteer-run and is strongly committed to fostering diversity in our approach to programming. We achieve this by encouraging film submissions from under-represented independent artists, including female and non-binary filmmakers, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. We recruit diverse members and voices to our Board of Directors and film selection juries.

As part of its commitment to promote the growth of independent Canadian films, OCan is now accepting submissions for its 10th annual Film Festival Program, which will take place in November 2026.

We are looking for great stories in all genres, whether fiction or documentary, of short or feature length.
